Customer Reviews Steve Madden Bkailyn Koltt w/ Guitar Strap

This is my first Steve Madden bag, and I am very pleased with it so far. I was unsure about the style and the blue color, but it is much prettier in person than it appears on the website. I would have preferred it to be slightly larger, but that's really only because I'm guilty of carrying too much stuff around with me (i.e. work gloves, kneepads, a large bottle of fiji water, etc.). There is plenty of room in this bag to suit most people's purposes, and I really like the center pouch that divides the inside compartment. It helps me to be more organized, and I no longer have to dig through a jumble of stuff that's just lumped together in the bottom of my bag. I have no idea what this bag is made of (some kind of synthetic/imitation leather), but the material is very thick, and the inside lining feels like the softest buttery suede you can imagine. The guitar strap is likewise gorgeous and very comfortable to use. Everything about this bag just screams quality. I do have a couple of minor points of concern. The crossbody strap isn't wide enough for my liking, and it is uncomfortable to use when the bag is weighed down by all of the stuff that I carry with me to work every day. I think it would be fine for a weekend outing when I can remove some things and reduce the weight, but I won't employ the crossbody strap for daily use. My only other concern is regarding whether the synthetic material will hold up with exposure to rain and snow. I live in an area that gets a lot of wind along with precipitation, and an umbrella invariably does not keep me and my bag completely dry. I'm hoping the bag doesnt end up with water spot damage. Overall, I am very pleased with this bag, and Steve Madden will be at the top of my list for future handbag purchases.
