It is very tight on the sides. I have a bunion and the pain gets unbearable. I hope tennis can expand.

Runs narrow. Need wide. Limited selection and more expensive

Same sizing as other Mizuno sneakers which is great. They have far less arch support which I am having trouble with for running.

1/2 size to a size too small, felt clunky on my feet, and the plastic looks extremely cheap. Would not recommend.

The Wave Catalyst 1 was my most favorite running shoe ever. I loved the fit, the light weight, the lower heel and flatter sole (I can't abide squishy shoes). I ordered the same size in the Catalyst 2 and they were too narrow. I went to my favorite running shoe store to try them in a bigger size and still too narrow, and apparently these don't come in wide. I really hope the fit is fixed in the Wave Catalyst 3 (the Wave Rider fits great - just to squishy in the sole for me).

I do not use any other running shoe besides Mizuno, so I was really disappointed with this shoe given I have never had prior issues with Mizuno sneakers. This particular shoe was on sale, the reason I selected the Wave Catalyst 2. The tip of the shoe is covered in a material that almost makes it feel like plastic, so it makes the shoe very hard and uncomfortable and challenging to break in. I have worn the shoe about 7 times since receiving them thinking they just need some more time to get broken in, but still no luck and they hurt my feet.
