So i will give some background. I am a Nike loyalist. I supinate/underpronate. I am a heel runner. I run indoor or outdoor but mostly outdoor, roads and trails. I run 5 days per week between 5-7 miles each run. I am 5'9" 135lbs & a true size 9 with not-narrow but not-wide feet & a few blistering toes. I have lower back and overuse ankle injuries w/multiple talas & tibia fractures. Every 2 yrs or so my physical therapist puts me in a boot for 6-8 weeks:( I bought these shoes because i wanted more cushioning than what Nike offered. So i gave it a try. It was love at first run! Instead of feeling that bounce/spring off my heel to forefoot, I felt a more natural forefoot landing. This was confusing to me in a great way. I focused trying to determine my landing in these shoes and it was smoothly exhilarating realizing that i was actually forefoot landing with a neutral gait unlike any other shoes. I did not feel any cushy bouncy landing, instead i just felt like i never felt the impact of the pound onto the road!!! Most lovely was that i did not get hot foot after mile 3! Maybe it's because the wave comes all the way to the forefoot allowing air to actually ventilate under the forefoot, I don't know, i just know I did not get that annoying hot foot mid-run! Now it is true to size so if you wear really thick socks all the time i would recommend going up 1/2 size. I wear not thick but not thin socks underArmor socks so it felt perfect! These may be costly but I took a chance and I recommend if you want to spring into summer with great runs! Best wishes :)

Love my Prophecy 6! They are even more comfortable then I imagined. I definitely recommended these shoes for anyone who is thinking of running with them. Light, good support, and also fashionable! I'm looking forward for the new models, hopefully they come in other colors.

I've bought every single wave prophecy for years. This latest version 6 is narrow. It only bothers me in the toe box. WHY DO THEY NARROW THE TOE BOX FOR THE LOVE OF GOD? Runners feet splay after years of running and a good toe box is necessary. Oh well. Not happy with these.
I'd also recommend:
saucony.

I had the Mizuno Wave Prophecy 2. I loved them. I don't know why Mizuno made this new version narrow. the Prophecy 2 was wider, and it was better for the feet. Look at Brooks and Hoka One One, they are wider for a reason. My Altra's are also wider, my Crocs are wider. They are better for my feet. I would have continued to buy Mizuno's, but I cannot anymore. I wear a 7 and I had to buy a 7 1/2, and it still feels narrow. I wish Mizuno would bring back the Prophecy 2.

I love this shoe and wrote about previously, when I purchased my first pair in white/gold. At that time in that review I thanked Ascis for screwing up the Nimbus and therefore leading me on a search for a new running shoe. I loved it so much that I bought a second pair in some form of purple (the color descriptions can be so odd some times) This is a great, comfortably, supportive shoe. This review is more to give a shout out to how amazing the Customer Service is at Zappos in particular to Heather, who is awesome!!!

First and most importantly, I would like to thank Asics for screwing up what was my favorite fast walking/running shoe the Asics Nimbus. They shrunk the toe area and removed some of the gel cushioning leading me to find a replacement shoe. I LOVE the Mizuno Wave Prophecy!!! It is sooo cushy, it has my much needed toe room. It has the perfect feel for my kinda big arches. It makes my feet feel so good when running but more importantly they feel great afterwards. I hope Mizuno doesn't screw up the Wave Prophecy the way Asics screwed up the Nimbus cause I would need to be searching again and after having this wonderful shoe, I would literally cry!!!

I normally buy Asics but was looking to try something different. I loved the look of these. The price is outrageous though. I have had multiple foot surgeries so I buy shoes with good support which usually means expensive. These are the most I have ever paid. I love the look and support of these shoes. I originally purchased a 10 which is my normal size & had to return because my toes were at the end. The 10.5 is better. They also run a little narrower than usual. I would recommend going up half a size. I have shoe stretchers that I use to help with the narrow issue. Considering the price these shoes should Be flawless
I'd also recommend:
Asics, Brooks

I love these! This is my second pair. I bought the blue one first a few months ago and left a review. +400 miles later i had to retire those and had to get these grey and purple ones as they are the only colors left in my size. I wear a 9 and bought a 9 both times. They are a bit narrow at first but I noticed the more i ran in them they stretched to my feet. These are not cushion but rather more of a stabilizing. You will not feel a bouncy cushion pillow when you run in these but you also will not feel the impact of the road. They are sturdy!!! I am a heel runner that underPronates. I feel like i am running with the support of tires on my feet. I absolutely love them and recommend them even with the price tag!

Felt the foot bed was comfortable, but the width around my heal and the bottom of my heal was incredibly narrow. I've never felt a shoe that narrow in THAT area before. Nice looking shoe otherwise. Sent it back because it was too narrow.

More narrow than I can deal with. I have many foot problems and these will not work. Beautiful show though.

Run half a size too small. I wear a 9.5 in sneakers, including Mizuno and Asics. This pair, at 9.5, was too short, the toe was right at the edge. Width, is more narrow than my old Mizuno's, however, since my foot is narrow, I do not mind it. Style, AMAZING!

I have the same issue as many do here. Loved the earlier Mizuno's and little by little they have narrowed them until this last Mizuno (Wave Prophecy 6) that is too narrow for comfort. Kind of bummed since it was all I wore. Now I have to find another brand. :-(
