Okay, so these have to be one of the most comfortable pairs of shoes or boots I’ve ever owned. I’m usually a 12.5 in most shoes, my feet are semi-wide, but I unfortunately they aren’t available in that size. I opted for 13 and they’re perfect. I’ve been layering a couple pairs of dry-fit socks, or one pair of thick hiking socks and they’re incredibly comfortable. Even with one pair of dry-fit Nike socks, they are fitting perfectly. The best way to describe these shoes is akin to giving your feet a pair of clouds to walk on. We’ve trekked through forest, mountains, and beaches over the past week and they handled all the different environments with ease. No break-in required.

I've had these boots about a month now and have used them maybe 4 times on trails of varying difficulty in rocky mountain national park as well as locally in Golden, CO. So far, no complaints. The boots are much lighter than I would've anticipated and the bases seem incredibly solid, have no problems quickly tackling sharp and uneven rocks and surfaces. Haven't tried out its waterproofing abilities other than a puddle here and there. The ankle support seems like just enough without riding too high, getting mid height ankle socks is the way to go. Got the size 11 and its a perfect fit. With pretty much every shoe I buy I develop blisters, however none with these. Bringing them on a couple backpacking trips this summer and a few 14'ers so we'll see how they hold up. So far, these have been a stellar alternative to the classic Asolo boots.

THE best hiking boot. I’ve worn these 40 hours a week for 6 years. I have to buy a new pair every two years. They have incredible support, strength, flexibility, comfort, and style. The laces are THE worst. They break way too easy. Need better made laces.

great fit, perfect sizing. You will never wear out the uppers of these boots. you will eventually wear out the soles.

I wear a women's size 11 which that translates to a mens 9.5, but I bought a men's size 10 which was the right size in this shoe for me. There was extra room in the toe for length, which came in handy going downhill on rough trails. I wore these shoes around the house and to work for a few days before going hiking. The shoes did not hurt my feet at all. I don't like the shoe laces, they are round and very narrow, hard to tighten, especially around the ankles. My main complaint about these shoes is the soles. When I was on rocky trails, these soles had no traction, I was slipping like I was walking on ice. I was dayhiking in Linville Gorge in NC, rough trails, steep ups and downs.

THese boots are fantastic. I have purchased 3 pairs over the last 3 years. They are lighter than most hikers, I have never damaged or worn out any component of the boot other than the sole. The sole is my only issue. I will wear through a sole in about 8 months of daily wear. However, the traction these boots provide is impressive. So, I suppose just like a tire, softer compounds provide better traction but wear faster. Harder compounds wear slower but don't offer the traction. I would rather buy more boots than bust my butt. Great product.

Out of the box, these boots were comfortable. The lacing system allowed for more of a customized fit than some of the Salomon boots I tried on. I have a bit of a narrow heel but a wider forefoot. I was able to fit the boot to my foot very easily with the lacing and got a secure fit quickly. The Vibram grip worked well scrambling up scree and granite after trekking across some late season snow. My only complaint may be with the laces themselves. I don't typically like the round laces and their stretch but they didn't pull free or loosen during multiple hikes so I can't really complain about them. Overall I'm very happy with these boots and would recommend them and purchase them again if these ever wear out.

Very firm sole.

The first Asolo boots that seemed narrow and lacked really good lateral stability. Still an excellent boot.

If you're expecting the Asolo narrow fit, these definitely don't have it.

If you're thinking these Asolo's are like the rest and made on a narrow last you'd be wrong. If you narrow feet stay away.
