Fit was perfect and my son loves them,. He said they were very comfortable.

My 6 year old son destroys shoes in record time! He is on his second pair of these and they have held nearly 3 times longer than some more expensive shoes that I have bought him. I only had to replace them when he grew out of them. Just bought a 3rd pair to grow into!

My son has a leg length discrepancy and needs to have a shoe lift added to one shoe. He needs a high quality shoe that he'll outgrow before he can wear them out. He's been wearing this pair for 6 months and they are still in good condition. Velcro closure on one shoe is starting to separate, but that's it, still very functional. I like that the insole is removable to accommodate the interior portion of his lift. When the shoes arrived there was one spot on the tongue of one shoe which was frayed, but I hadn't noticed it before sending off the mate for the lift, it really hasn't gotten much worse in six months of almost daily use. I'm pleased with the quality and life of these shoes. Today I ordered another pair because he's outgrowing this pair. They're in good enough shape to be handed down if one didn't have a lift. My son says they are comfortable shoes. I imagine we'll be back again for more when he outgrows these. If you need a good shoe for lift or orthotics try this.

Great fit and totally comfy right out of the box for my 7 year old. I worry about the patent leather on the Velcro strap- it makes it hard to get on since it doesn't slide through the slot to loosen very well. Will wait to see how well that area holds up!

My now 8 year old boys have been wearing these shoes for years. When they wear a pair out, I just order a new pair 0.5 size up on Zappos and we never have to go to shoe stores. The boys always say that they are comfortable and like the different colors.

My son loves these shoes. I can't get them off of him. There seemed to be no break in time. He wore them out of the box on a trip with no issue!

I wish Asics made more styles for kids, they are SO much better than other brands! This is the second pair of Asics I bought for my son and I love these just as much as the first ones. High quality, fits perfect, so cute! Extremely pleased with these.

I ordered a Asics Gel-Contend 4, medium-width size 1, for my daughter in the blue and silver combination. She loved the "cushy" inside and slightly wide toe box. Looks great with her red, white, and blue school uniforms too. As always, thanks to Zappos for the best customer service around!

This shoe is perfect for my 5 y.o. Son who is learning to tie shoes but not ready for laces. He loves the combo attached laces with Velcro closure. Great colors of red, silver and black and great quality for an active boy! Love this shoe!

It is hard to find a sturdy wide show for my 4 yr old. This shoe has been great for him. It holds up fairly decent.

My four year old loves these shoes. This is the sixth pair we've had between my two sons. Asics tennis shoes are much more rugged than other brands, and offer serious support. My only complaint about these is the look. As you can see in the picture, the velcro tab sits high, high above the elastic lacing, which looks pretty odd on this pair of shoes. I've never had this complaint with other children's Asics shoes.

These are great looking shoes but I had to return 3 pair. They run small and narrow so my I had to buy a 2.5m for my 5yr old son who normally wears a 1. They were sold out of W width. The size 2.5M fit well and my son really loved them but after two days of wear the strings started unraveling. These were are first ASICS I will likely not buy them again.

My son has only had these since the beginning of June...and probably didn’t wear them all of July and the Velcro strap is already starting to peel. We’ve managed to glue them and they seem to fixed for now. Disappointing.

I bought these to fit my son's AFO which these are marketed to do so however they aren't wide enough. If you/they are going to advertise these ,or any shoes for that matter, for AFO's they need to come in extra Wide Thanks
