They last two Nimbus styles don't fit like they use to. I'm so disappointed and don't know what other shoe to buy now. They ended up giving me blisters.

The GEL-Nimbus 18 saved me from the curse of plantar fasciitis. After just a few months though, there were big holes in them, and I can't find another pair left anywhere. After switching to the 19 in the same size, my plantar fasciitis returned after just a few days. I'm back to wearing my very holey 18s and will until they fall off my feet. Also, these cause numbness in the toes.

This is so bizarre that it merits a review. 1st Zappos is great and I would have been very frustrated with most other companies. So on to Asics, wow. In a few generations, 15 to now this shoe size has morphed at such an extreme pace that I went from a 10 normal width to an 11 4x extra wide (the max width). The 11 4extra wide is the exact same fit I experienced from the 10 D. Ive been enjoying these shoes for decades and I anticipate this will be the last generation that I can wear. Its simply inexplicable in a highly competitive market. Many reviewers warned me, but its seemed so impossible that such a radical sizing change would be implemented in such a short span of time. Still a good shoe for me, great support, comfortable, well built. Those facts make the mismanagement a heart-breaker. If buying, size way up and at least double width. Rating based on Asics' sizing confusion.

I've gotten these every year for several years in a row. Bought them again this year without bothering reading any reviews. That was a mistake. The sizing is off on the Nimbus 19. It's at least a 1/2 size to 1 size off from my normal shoe size. I can compare it to my past Nimbus and it is a little shorter and narrower than the previous model even though they are the same size. Frustrating since I couldn't return them since I assumed that the same size shoe in the same line of shoes would fit so I didn't bother testing them out before I took the tag off.

ASICS GEL-Nimbus 19 is a different shoe compared to the GEL-Nimbus 18. Since the Nimbus 18 was a great shoe, I thought the 19 would be the same but with minor upgrades. I was very wrong. I was disappointed to go running in the shoe and find out the at 19 was much more narrow in the toe box. Unfortunately I continued running in the shoe and was unable to return it. Now, I have a pair of shoes that generally cause my toes to feel squeezed, in turn making me more sore after a run. The shoe looks identical to the 18 (outside of the color choices) but is so significantly different that I can no longer recommend it. This will most likely be my last ASICS shoe as I desire consistency when looking for a shoe.

ASICS has been my go to for years. It's so sad. That the toe bed has changed and is too narrow. Now I have to find a new sneKer

I have had these Nimbus 19 for a month and they kill my feet and lower back! They're not near as comfortable as previous models! Also, much smaller and narrower!

I've bought several GEL-Nimbus 18's and found the fit just great. Ordered the same size in the 19 and felt like I had a different shoe entirely. Was short and tight so I suspect that the production quality and consistently is way off for this shoe

they don't fit right! I have no idea what they changed. I've been wearing this shoe since it was the Nimbus 16. This is my second pair that I've tried, and they don't work. After a short time, both my feet are numb, or on fire. I tried the liners that came with the shoe as well as ones from my previous pair. Nope. So disappointed with Asics! The shoes themselves are exactly the same size as the others, but wow...ouchie! Sending them back and will head out to some place where I can try them on.

I've been wearing ASICS for decades--and they change the design annually. The changes are not always for the better or needed: the Gel-Nimbus 19's toe box is way too small: I had to go up another half-size, and the cushioning is reduced. Please bring back the Gel-Nimbus 17! You can offer the style as a "Classic." Many people depend on consistency in shoe design to prevent injury. I hope that you read these reviews, and take your customer's comments to heart. Thank you P.S. You don't need to add color to the inside of the shoe: it gets on socks when the shoe is wet!

I was very happy to have found 17 and then after that I bought a couple of 18. What I don't understand is why make this so narrow now? As there is a 2E available? I need to search new shoes again, just when I thought I had found a solution.

I am disappointed. After finding in Nimbus 17 the perfect quality running shoe with a sufficiently wide last, and then buying a couple of 18's, this 19 is a disaster for me personally. I am again forced to start testing the 4E's of other brands.

I've had a couple of pairs of Nimbus in the past and loved the. I figured that I'd carry on the tradition but Asic does not seem to be making these the same anymore. I now do yard work in these shoes and have moved on to Mizuno and Saucony.

I've been wearing the nimbus since version 11. I have a very high arch and hammer toes and have always found the nimbus to the best cushioned shoe out there. I was so incredibly disappointed when I put on this version and like most other reviewers found the toe box to be incredibly tight to the point that I cannot wear them. I usually wear a 15 medium and sometimes even a narrow, and the medium width pinches my feet so much there is pain after just a few minutes of wear. I would consider trying a 2E width but it only comes in that horrible grey color. This is a plea to asics (as someone who has relied on the nimbus for my bad feet) - PLEASE fix this issue with the toe box on the nimbus 20!

I've work Asics Gel-Nimbus for YEARS. I still have some of model 17 and 18. Something changed with the 19. I'm thin and have narrow feet but this is TOO narrow. Terribly uncomfortable and not the same 'cushioning' as prior models. I hope the "20" reverts back to the old Nimbus.

I've been buying and wearing the Gel Nimbus for many years; however, the 19s are very disappointing. I don't think they are well cushioned and the toe box is smaller than the 18. I think the 18s are a much better shoe and are the quality I've come to expect from Asics. The 19s remind me of the Nimbus 13s or 14s that everyone hated. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these.

SOOO disappointed that Asics changed this shoe. I wear a 4E, so finding shoes is almost impossible. the Nimbus 18 fit like a glove. As others have mentioned, the 19 was too narrow. I had to return it. FYI, if you have Frankenfeet like me, i went through 10 pairs before I found a few that were wide enough. I'm listing them here in hopes of saving someone the shoe drama (and returns I had). I finally settled on the Asics Gel Contend 4 (most like the Nimbus 18). The Nike Lunar Converge was good too - surprisingly wide enough and very cushy. just didn't feel like it had enough stability support for me as i tend to pronate a bit on impact. The New Balance 880 and 1080 were also good fits - but I really wanted black and they don't make them in black. I ended up keeping the 880, even though it had less padding than the 1080 because it was gray-ish and the 1080 only came in slate blue. good luck!

VERY disappointed in Asics. the nimbus 18 was THE perfect shoe for my super wide foot (4E) and the cushioning was amazing. Why on earth they discontinued it I can't understand. The 19, per other reviews is noticeably more narrow. As My foot is a 4E, I had nowhere to go but to another brand. (Ended up in the New Balance 1080). Also, the shoe looks black, but it's actually more white. it looks like the white sock is showing through but that's just the look of it. Really didn't care for it at all. Bring back the 18 :((((

I have been a Gel-Nimbus fan for many generations of this shoe. It has been my go-to running shoe for many years. Beware if you are happy with the shoe last of the previous generations. The 19s run extremely narrow. Even in a 4E, they are the equivalent of a D width, maybe narrower actually. If you normally wear a D, you may want to try the 4E. If you wear 2E or 4E, you may be out of luck with this one unfortunately. Color scheme is nice though.

I bought my latest pair of Nimbus in April 2017. I have about 180 miles on them and the sole looks like 300+ on my many previous Nimbus models. I've been wondering what Asics had done to make this latest model not hold up as well and ran across these comments. Glad to see my concerns are validated. I sure wish Asics would go back to whatever they did in the past with Nimbus. I'm trying to get some more miles out of these but not sure how much longer I can hold out.
