On an Earthwatch trip to the subarctic. This jacket has been amazing! Protects from the bugs, the northern wind and rain. I've fallen in two ponds and this jacket has kept me dry & warm! Highly recommend. Don't think I'll ever leave hole on an adventure without it!

This is a perfect lightweight rain jacket. It is comfortable to wear over layers or alone. It has nice pockets to store small stuff such as phone, wallet, headphones, money..etc. Most importantly, it kept me and my underclothes dry when walking through and under waterfalls or rain storms.

Bought this jacket because I needed a raincoat and I must say, it's fab! Not only is it super lightweight and stylish, but the color is so nice and goes with practically everything. Plus, I love how the jacket can serve as both a wind-breaker and a rain coat. I definitely found myself wearing this on cold days and though it has no fleece lining, when paired with a warm sweater it can definitely keep you warm.

I needed a light, windproof, waterproof jacket that I could layer over a fleece if needed. This was for a trip where I want low weight, crushable, and meets all this criteria. It was perfect for the many different (summer) climate conditions I encountered. This jacket was the perfect solution.

Love everything about this jacket! It is great for Northern Michigan nights on the boat or hiking in the spring in fall. I even like to run in this coat on cool spring days. I seriously could order it in every color. I bought a medium so I could layer under it.

It's a good jacket for a rain/wet day. Not meant for warmth but big enough to layer underneath.

I got the jacket just to have another rain coat but this one is better than my old one. The lining is thicker and it would last longer. I like the textire of the jacket as well.

It's great! I bought it for my girlfriend and she loves it. She wears it pretty often and gets a lot of good comments on how it looks and questions about where to get one. It's flattering in all the right places and not too hot when you wear something under it. She's very happy with this coat. One thing she wishes was different is the velcro at the end of the sleeves. She doesn't like them.

I'm a Rural Postal Carrier and the job is a very active, physical job. I had passed my first North Face rain jacket on to my daughter at college 3 years ago (it no longer fit me). After one month on my new postal job it became readily apparent that I needed a rain jacket that could perform well in both cold temps and hot, as well as keeping me comfortable when sweaty or in summer humidity. No hesitation; no other jacket was even considered; I knew replacing my donated North Face rain jacket with an identical one was my first, last & ONLY choice. This jacket is highly functional, versatile & comfortable. Get it. It performs as expected and is worth EVERY penny.

The jacket fit exactly as I expected and was used for multiple purposes in Alaska during late spring. I wore it as a light rain jacket and windbreaker, as the top layer with a fleece during a blustery drizzling hike, and threw it over a top and jeans going out. It absolutely kept the rain and wind out when I needed it. It was also shoved into my pack multiple times as I went through my layers over the course of a day and the thin fabric packs down small but a quick shake knocks the wrinkles right out.

Friday night high school football game and there's rain? Take this! Heading out for a hike to see the amazing colors of the leaves changing on a brisk October day? Take this! Going apple picking in the fall? Going fishing when the fish hit the rivers on a chilly, misty and gray spring day? Kids signed up for soccer in the spring and fall? Running to the store on a cold, windy, rainy day? TAKE THIS! This is your go to jacket. Keep one in the car, one in the office to grab when it starts raining at quitting time... The hood is PERFECT. Not droopy. Ultra light but warm. If the weather changes and you don't need it, tie it around your waist and keep going. You're not left dragging a bulky coat around. This is a great, versatile, everyday must have.

I bought my first Venture jacket (white) in 2010 before a trip to Italy. It was perfect for traveling and the white color allowed me to wear it with anything and felt more stylish than other rain jackets. After 51/2 years of wearing it and washing it (in the washer, on warm, with whatever else I threw in there...) the inside lining started to peel. I am very rough on clothes and wasn't the least bit surprised. So when my daughter asked if there was something I might like or need for Mother's day, I said 'Another North Face Venture jacket in white!

I wanted something to wear in the rain, light weight, something I could layer under according to the weather and this was perfect. Large pockets wear my umbrella fit well. We were on a tour recently and this jacket was great. I could fold it up to fit in my daytime backpack (a small one at that). I may get it in other colors.

This is a great basic raincoat - no bells and whistles, but keeps the water out, packs very small and fits well. The material is thin but not especially breathable so it gets a little warm when hiking. The underarm zip ventilation helps with this. It hits just below the waist and has just enough room to wear a puffy jacket underneath it for extra warmth. The construction seems really solid and I expect that it will last a long time.

I am very pleased with this jacket! I normally wear a Small but I got a Medium so layering clothes underneath wouldn't be a problem. It's a great fit. I love the underarm zippers. The Clear Lake Blue Heather is a beautiful color and looks as pictured.

This jacket looks great on. It fits true to size but the sleeve length seemed longer than my other TNF rain jackets. Otherwise, I love this. It's my favorite one so far.
