I absolutely love this jacket! I needed a new rain jacket that did not cover down to my legs but still fit over my broad shoulders and long arms and this is it!

I bought an earlier version of this jacket and wore it hard for 20 years. When the waterproof inside started peeling, I returned it, cause lifetime warranty and received a $100 credit. I selected this as my new jacket. Just tried it on. Very, very happy. Great product. Great customer service.

I bought this jacket recently because of the sale. I'm usually a medium and I bought a Large because it was recommended to go up a size. I'm glad I did. The one thing is the arms are a little baggy. Nonetheless, I'm excited to wear this jacket in the fall time and I love the purple color.

I purchased my Venture Rain Jacket in 2014, and have since taken this jacket around the world. 11 countries (in Monsoon season) later, and it was still holding up. Last year (2019) I found that it started de-laminating on the inside, so I sent it in to TNF per their warranty. They sent me a BRAND NEW ONE! I couldn't be happier! I'll never be buying a new rain jacket again since TNF stands so firmly behind their products. If anything goes wrong with it, they'll either fix it or replace it. I love that!

For sizing reference: I am a petite women (Height 5'2, Bust 32, Weight 110, Waist 25). I did know if to choose size XS or S and I went with small after asking my friends for advice on the fit. This jacket fits me comfortably and allows for movement and flexibility because it is not too tight as I think an XS would fit me. It is not tight at arms or underarms and the length is a bit past my waist. The jacket is pretty thin and lightweight so I would recommend wearing warm clothing under to keep yourself warm.

I was in dire need of a new lightweight rain jacket for walking the dog, spring/summer/fall rain, and something that would pack down small to travel/camp/backpack with. This totally fits the bill! I had a couple of these jackets in high school and it is still excellent. The pit zips help with ventilation if you get a little warm on a brisk walk, the hood cinches to your head and is big enough to stay on, and keep rain off your face and out of your eyes, repels rain like a champ, and is generally just a solid classic rain jacket.

I purchased this jacket last-minute before a backpacking trip that was predicting rain every day. I can honestly say this is my favorite outerwear piece. It performed well on the backpacking trip, kept me dry and comfortable on the 10-mile days as well as the 6-mile days. It's lightweight, making it easy to wear casually or while exercising. It's also a great windbreaker, or even just a lightweight layer. It's easily my most versatile jacket. I got the white and it is so fun and cute, I love wearing it.

I was looking for a rain jacket to have on hand for rainy days; something light weight and breathable, that I could layer with. This fits perfectly, I love the color & the breath-ability of it.

Bought to use for future hiking trip in Israel and for wet weather use in town in NC. Much lighter & much more comfortable than my previous Marmot jacket. Darker gray color was nice option. Happy customer!

I am an active retiree and spend time outdoors every day mostly walking. Just like I did when I was working full-time, I don't want to wear the same clothes every day so I have purchased my third jacket just in a different color. I've been wearing these jackets for five years and the first jacket looks just like the newest one I just purchased. I appreciate that they hold up for more than one season. I also like the zippers under the arms so you can open up for some upper body ventilation. My only negative comment is that North Face changed the styling on the jacket several years ago. My first jacket has "raglan" sleeves which is more complimentary on me. Now the jacket style is simply set in sleeves. TNF: please go back to the raglan sleeves! That style allows for more movement through the upper body!
