These shoes are so tight and narrow. Second pair of shoes from Saucony I had to return because of same issue. Disappointed

I've been wearing and loving the Saucony Guide 9. The Guide 10 is nothing like the 9. It's cut so much more narrow, and the volume (height above the foot) is also much smaller. I tried on my same size (8.5) in a Wide, and it was still much, much too small. Not sure why they changed the fit that much, but I am getting New Balance instead.

I have a wide foot with a narrow heel, and Saucony has been my go-to running shoe for decades. They keep discontinuing the shoes I like, but I can usually find another that will work. This shoe, however, is tight across the ball of my foot. Also, the top of the heel comes in uncomfortably around my achilles tendon, and yet the heel is too loose, so my heel slips causing the shoe to rub along the sides of my tendon. The sole of the shoe is also unusually stiff. I didn't keep these on my feet long enough to evaluate the support. They immediately went back in the box and back to Zappos.

This shoe didn't work for me and felt like it tilted my foot awkwardly. I typically love Saucony shoes and have worn the Guide 6 and Guide 7 through many miles of running and walking but this latest version felt very different. They provided an energetic stride but tended to angle my foot in such a way that my knees and hips ached just trying them out in the house. I am finding myself frustrated with most of the newer Saucony models - less cushion and softness then before where I felt like I was walking on a cloud. Perhaps it is just that I am 65 and my feet have less padding but still I am slender, have a narrow foot, only need shoes for walking, and I generally have no problems with fit as long as there is good arch support. I hope the Saucony reps read these reviews. I finally found a place that still had the old Guide 8 and that is what worked for me.

I don't understand who designs the aesthetics f these. I ordered these because they are rated well for plantar fasciitis, hoping that I could get over the hideousness but they are just. too. ugly. Argh. Foot pain AND ugly shoes? Why does aging have to come with a double whammy?

So these are my 3rd pair of the Saucony guide sneakers. My biggest and only complaint is they get holes in the heel and start rubbing the back of my ankle. Every pair got them but this one got such big holes that they started rubbing at my ankles so badly that I can't wear them any longer. Luckily, Zappos return policy is amazing and I was able to return them.

I don't like the way the tong is attached to the sides of the shoe! You are unable to loosen the shoe top to get your foot in. I was unhappy when I found that it was no use loosing the laces because you couldn't get your foot in the shoe anyway!! Poor design!!

I have been purchasing the guide shoes in wide since the Guide 6 and have loved them. The Guide 10, however, does not deliver the comfort and performance of its predecessors. The shoes felt tight around the toe box when walking around but I thought that the new closer fit perhaps would mean that the upper would flex when running. This is not the case. Instead, the sides of my feet and the fronts of my toes are pinched. I tried re-lacing the shoes to take pressure off the toe box and also tried trimming the insoles to create more room where the upper meets the rubber. Nothing has been successful and it appears that all of the previous guides are out of stock. I tried the omni as a replacement but found that it is far more rigid and doesn't roll as well as the guides. Sadly I think I will have to explore other brands.

Why would Saucony take a successful shoe like the Guide 9 and make into something less successful like the Guide 10? Also, why are those of us who need wide width confined to one color only? And in this case, a horrible blue that goes with perhaps one thing in the wardrobe? If you're going to make only color in wide, at least give us a neutral color. I've found a Guide 9 elsewhere, and from hereon out I'll be looking for other manufacturers.

Cute design but very uncomfortable. Arch was very hard and uncomfortable. The Ride9 is better.
