For those who can’t tell from the product description, this is technically a mountain bike shoe, but you can use it for road biking, especially if you’re a beginner or only bike moderately. They don’t come with clips because clips are different depending on what kind of pedals you have (which generally vary depending on what kind of bike you have). I am almost always a 9.5 womens (or a 41 in European) and these shoes were very narrow in the toe box and too short for me. I have narrow feet, too. I would recommend ordering at least a size up. There’s not meant to be much arch support because you’re not meant to be walking in them much, so there’s no need for it. They’re good quality shoes, though, if they fit your feet. They’ll last you a while, even if you cycle a lot.

I am a true size 6 across the board but Pearl Izumis usually runs small. I initially ordered a size 38 (I have 2 other PI cycling shoes size 38) but it felt half a size larger and it was digging on my ankle so I returned it and ordered a 37 hoping it would fit better. The fit was definitely better (It did not feel narrow and the support was fine) but the pinch on my ankle was still there. I wore thick and thin socks (and walked around) but it did not feel any better. My heart whispered perhaps it just needed to be broken-in or stretched (it was really cute and the colors matched my bike) but my head screamed that cycling shoes should fit out of the box. Needless to say my head prevailed. It's going back. I'm so bummed.

I’m normally a size 8 or 8.5 in womens and opted for size 41 in these. I have a wider forefoot but still pretty much am always able to wear medium/normal width shoes. These are narrower in the toe box than regular shoes but sizing up helped that problem. As one reviewer also noted, the Velcro straps are a little on the short side but not problematic. Overall a pretty good shoe for spinning (what I use them for) and would recommend to others with the caveat of going up at least 1 size from your regular shoe size.

I normally wear a size 6 (36) in sneakers but reading reviews for other cycling shoes you need to buy 2 sizes larger. That's what I did, I got a 38 and fits perfect. It's a bit narrow and the straps a tad short. If you have wide feet this is not the shoe for you. I use it for spin class (SD cleats) and they feel great. They're harder than regular shoes but my feet are supported and I haven't had any issues with them. Love the design too!

The version before this one was perfect in my opinon. For this version the manufacturer changed the velcro tab closest to the ankle to not be able to come all the way out of the grommet and if you have a regular or high instep the design does not have ample velcro hook on this tab to be able to close the shoe well. The shoes are still very stiff after 15 rides.

Tried these on in two different sizes and the velcro straps were weirdly way too short. I've had Pearl Izumi velcro cycling shoes for years and the velcro fit just fine. Couldn't strap them down over my feet. (My feet are on the average to wider side, but I can usually wear both regular or wide shoes.)

I liked the look of these shoes, but WHY can't a cycling shoe manufacturer make a wide shoe? Or at the very least not such narrow shoes? Not all cyclists have tiny narrow feet! I have been trying for 3 years to find a cycling shoe that fits, to no avail. The same issue with this show, too narrow. I had to return them.
