These pants have great technical features, craftsmanship is spot-on, the materials are terrific. They are very good for traveling and yes, work great for bike commuting.
The waist fits a little large for me. I am right at a 31" waist and the 32 pants are pretty loose.
My complaint with these is that the zipper fly is not very useful - it doesn't unzip very far and it is a pretty small opening as far as pants flies go. Perhaps this is different with larger sizes but I am annoyed nearly every time I am wearing these and need to have a quick whiz. Fortunately the pants are really super in every other way, so it is something I can overlook.

I bought these for primarily travel. They repel moisture, dry quickly and are very comfortable to wear. They fit perfect in the waist but were way too long in the leg. Rather than return for a smaller size in length which would likely cause problems in the waist I opted to have them tailored to fit better. Just shortening the leg was enough to go from a worthwhile pant to one of my favorites.
Lightweight, easily cleaned and nice safety features if you need them for cycling or just walking. They are now my primary travel pant paired with a skyline shirt.

I like these pants a lot but I also know that they are not for cardiovascular biking, they are for mellow commutes around town. I have worn them to two parties. They were stylish and functional.
Not only did I look good at the party but when it was time to bike home I felt extra stylish since I had a few safety functions that would keep me safe as we biked home. I really like that you can hide the reflective tabs when you want and then pull them out when they are needed.
They do have a bit of extra metal that seems to trigger the metal detectors in airports.

These pants live up to the high quality expectations customers have for Arcteryx products. The size is true-to-fit and having a 33-inch inseam - I appreciate the longer length. They are very comfortable for everyday wear and fulfill their function perfectly.
My only concern is not having a velcro-secured back pocket. Just be careful with a wallet potentially slipping out.

Nice pants, fit great. More colours needed and maybe lower the Rolex pricing.

Substitute the polyester for higher quality Nylon and this pant would be near perfect. It would last a lot longer too.
Polyester is garbage. We all know this.

I've had two pairs of these pants, the first ones started showing the wear and tear at thighs within first three months, Arcteryx did send me replacement pants. I got the second pair, which lasted longer, but still started showing wear and tear in the same area a bit sooner than any other pants I own.
However, I really like these pants and I will give it another go, as they are really one of the better pants I could find on the market that are casual, but not too casual, and I can wear them at work.

The great thing about the previous version of a2b pants was the ability to walk straight into a meeting after a rainy commute, with no one being able to tell that the pants have gotten wet on the way.
The new material unfortunately shows wetness to the point that even in rain free conditions a bike ride results in sweat marks in the crotch area.
That being said, the new cut looks great and these pants are totally worth buying as regular, everyday pants, even if not really usable for commuting anymore.

When I first purchased these pants last summer I liked them so much I bought one in each color available at the time. I have had them for just under a year and have noticed they have discolored and the fabric has become very thin - so thin that a hole easily tore in the thigh. I had hoped a "commuter" pant would hold up to daily physical activity. Since I wanted the pants to look like new for as long as possible I have always washed on "gentle" cycle and line dry. Even with that care they still have a washed out and faded appearance. I am on the fence about recommending these pants. I really like the original look, fit and comfort but wish they were a little more hard-wearing.

I would love to give these 5 stars, but there are some issues that needs to be corrected for them to be perfect.
The waist of the pants stretch too much! I fit a 33" perfectly when I try them on, but after a couple of hours they feel like a 34-35" (32" is way too small)
The zipper is too short, so it's quite hard to use then when going to the men's room.

I was very excited about these pants. I wore them for a few days and found them to be a great blend of work and play - fit and flex.
Unfortunately, after one wash the pants shrunk more than I have seen on any other pants. I think I lost about 2 inches on the length and 1-2 inches on the waist. No way I can wear them any more.
I washed them on warm (not hot) due to unclear instructions on the tag, maybe that was the problem. Definitely be careful if you buy a pair.

I've used two pairs of the Commuter Pants and they look really good, but after only 3 months there were tears in the fabric at the bottom of the legs. Very strange from normal wear.
I bought 3 new pairs just now with same size 34, but these updated models are different and do not fit. Also, does not feel as well made as the older pants of same model.

I've owned a pair of these trousers for ~7 months, and used them daily for a bicycle commute in London (~12 miles round trip). I have to say that they are the most comfortable pair of trousers I've ever worn - the material feels very nice on the skin, the pockets are deep and have some nice features (such a little barrier in the corners preventing small things like coins from falling out when you sit down), and the clips at the bottom of the trouser to prevent them from getting into the chain are really useful. I do have to echo some other reviewers' comments about the zip - it's just too small to be useful, so I had to develop a habit of just undoing the trousers completely when I needed to. All that being said, the trousers are just not durable enough for their marketed purpose - they started fraying and tearing at the crotch area within 6 months, and when I sent them in for a warranty repair, I was told that they are not eligible for it as such damage is considered normal wear and tear. Knowing that I specifically bought these expecting the high price to mean higher durability, I feel quite disappointed.

I've had 2 pairs of the A2B Commuter pants over the last 3 years, both in size 30. They have been my favorite pant for every outing and I have worn out both pairs. However, when I went to replace them this year I noticed the sizing has changed and quality doesn't seem to match those of previous pairs.
It seems they have shifted away from arcteryx's trim fit or active cut and are now more of a generic cut, less room in the thighs and calfs. Fitting similar to skinny jeans, and impossible to bike in. I tried sizing up to a size 32 and was disappointed with how straight the cut and loose they are comparatively.
These pants are no longer commuter pants and are now just another pair of generic straight cut casuals. I will not be replacing my current pair.

I bought them in Summer 2019 and thought I finally found a pair of practical, light, durable pairs I could use for work. However, the almost immediately started to significantly deteriorate and the fabric around the seams at the inner thighs suffered visibly.
I was quite surprised (negatively) as they fit rather loosely (I would almost fit in the size 30) and I never used them for cycling. I would have returned them already back then but worked in a different country so I kept wearing them and now after little more then a year of low intense use they tore.
If the quality of the fabric and seams would live up to the expectations I have of a company like arcteryx this would be great trousers but as they are they are simply not worth the price.

I bought these pants (women's style, same pants) for bike commuting to work. My commute is very short, only 2km one way. Within two seasons of wearing these pants (spring and fall), they ripped in the thigh. To stitch it back would further compromise the durability of the already worn out fabric (again, after only a year??) and the style would look cheap and run down. These pants were NOT worth the price if you plan to ride a bike with them. I had thought the Arcteryx brand and logo would signify a durable, well-constructed pant. I will be satisfied when I get a full refund.

The seat and knee articulation is actually quite good, but they come with contrast-colored bar tack stitching, the largest leg opening of any pair of pants I've owned, and very long leg pipes.
The ankle adjuster is ok, but the bottom of the leg is way, way, way too large, and will catch in your chainrings even with the ankle adjuster all the way in beacuse of the extra material bunching up.
Also the thigh pocket is too small, and should wrap behind the zip, not in front.
They're supposed to be bike-to-work pants but are really suitable for neither.
Something that would be suitable for biking and office wear would look/fit like Veilance Voronoi's but be made of slightly stretchy fabric (ideally cotton/poly blend).
