I always find this helpful so I will say that I am 5’3” and weigh 140 lbs. I wear the size 10 short in Kuhl pants...and I have purchased 3 pairs a couple years ago. The size still works for me. I am a bit straight up and down with not much hips so these work for me. I will say that even though they boast so many pockets..the pockets have become a total dissapointmet...SO small! The fit is a bit large in the waist..always has been. The drawstrings help with that. All in all..I still love Kuhl pants and will be getting more! Back to regular pockets please! As for Zappos...we all love you!

The Kontra Cargo Pant is similar to my Splash Roll-up Pants for outdoor sports. Unfortunately the Kontra has smaller cargo pockets, pocket buttons instead of snaps and is a bit shorter in length. Very disappointing the fashion trend for women's pants pockets is smaller and not large enough to be useful. Hopefully the lighter material will hold up like my Splash Roll-ups.

Been looking for a great pair of cargo pants. These are light and very comfortable. The sizing is more on the junior side. Had to order several sizes larger than I normally wear. Whatever you would wear in a junior size, order that. You won't be disappointed for the price you pay, plus the shipping is free (I got 1 day shipping free) and so are returns!

I followed the sizing guide. Ordered accordingly but they are too big. I like the loose fit leg, but want the waist to be fitted better. I am 5'4" 125# and need a size 4 in this pant. Returned the 6. Love the color, style and quality.

This pants are great! I can stash stuff in the pockets comfortably & still move around. I like the pocket size personally. If you give me bigger pockets, I will fill them up. They dry super fast too. They do run a size small but it's worth it! I just ordered another pair in a different color.

I returned these due to fit only - I wear an 8 and ordered the 8 but couldnt button them. The 10 is too big. So I ended up with a different but similar brand.

I'm 5'2" 102 lbs and ordered the size 6 because the same style shorts I have are a size 6. They were a bit long. I'm keeping them, but will probably hem them. The style is cute, but the side pockets are kind of small. My iPhone fits in it but only if I don't button the button

Not for women who have extra "ass"ets. I normally wear a size 8 and tried this in a size 8 and 10. Both were too tight in the butt/thigh area and the 10 was waaaaaay too loose in the waist for me. I love the look of their pants but obviously not made for women with more junk in the trunk.

very comfortable. i'm curvy and waists always gape for me, so the drawstring is a big plus. These are very comfortable when i'm hiking and bird-watching in the humid tropics, but need full coverage. they also are fashionable enough to do double duty for casual dinners.

They were out of my size so had to go up one, but was able to take them in. I love these pants, they are comfortable, fit great, hang well and are the only cargo pants I have been able to find that aren't "skinny" at the calf and ankle. The Carbon color is gray, but it's a greenish gray with teal stitching. I love the ribbon inside the waistband that provides a little extra fit. The buttons are sturdy and well attached, there are a lot of reinforced spots which I hope means they will last longer. You can roll them up into capri length with the tab and button too. Liked them so much I bought a pair in Khaki too. Would have bought the light blue but they are sold out.

These pants rock! I wear them everywhere and am so happy to now have them in 4 different colors. I'm 5'9" about 170 lbs and lead a very active life: gardening, hiking, bike riding, etc. These are comfortable and stylish.

These are the best light weight pants I've ever owned. The super light weight, slightly stretchy fabric is perfect for really hot, humid weather. The fit is comfortably roomy without being baggy. I've got muscular legs and a slightly curvy figure. These fit great in the thighs, and there's no gapping in the back. At 5'2", I love the fact that they come in a shorter length. I'll definitely be getting at least one more pair in a different color.

I love Kuhl Kontra pants. This purchase is my 3rd pair. I have at least 6 pairs of the long shorts. The pants are great for summer. The material is lovely lightweight and comfortable. They style is very cute. The pants come in 3 lengths. I get short but have to roll them up like the photo because I'm extra short. If you have a larger booty and thighs you may want to size up. You could maybe try them on in person somewhere but they sell out super fast. I wear a 10 in Express editor pants and a 30 in Miss Me Jeans and wear a 12 in Kuhl Kontra pants and shorts.

i own 3 pairs of the shorts and just bought the long pants this spring. i love them just as much as the shorts. i'll always had trouble finding pants that fit my figure (hour-glass, wide butt). anything that fits my rear, is gaping in the waist. These fit perfectly, can be adjusted by the draw-string but the waist doesn't get bunched up. Very flattering from the backside (i get compliments). Perfect for travel, dry quickly.

Generally, I am not a fan of these kind of pants, but I do love the light weight and ease of the fabric and the many pockets when traveling. These are really fun! The red elevates them to something different and they are comfortable, easy to wash, pockets in all the right places that fit glasses, camera, bug spray, hand sanitizer and tissues.... They also look good! I am very happy with them. Recommend.

I love Kuhl's tropical fabric that they use on some of their items. I live in a climate that gets very humid in the summer and this fabric is fabulous for that. I do think Kuhl's pants are weirdly sized though. I take a full size larger than I do in any other brand. I did return this item. It was the Kontra pants in the tidal wave blue color and to my surprise, this blue clashed with a lot of my tops. I wish Kuhl would make some of their items in cooler colors. They tend to favor warm colors with the exception of black and gray. This particular blue had warm undertones which I know sounds odd to some people but there is such a thing as a warm blue. I would have kept this if the color had gone with my wardrobe better. I couldn't tell that from the online photos.

I sized up. Typically a size 4 (but barely these days). 5'6" 124...waist 28" hips 38" I think. The 4 looked pretty cute but pulled at hips. Crotch seemed shorter than most. 8 were too baggy under the butt. 6 are a pretty good fit. No big gapping issues at waist, though they do seem to loosen up after a half hour or so and then I have to tie the string at waist. I wear for working with dogs in above 90 degree humidity. These are really the best things I've found - cotton as a natural fabric being cooler than most. I would buy again.

Gave this four stars because I normally wear a size 8 but these were way too tight in the upper thigh/butt area. Had to return them.

Fit was at least a full-size small. Interestingly, I purchased the same size in the Mova pants from Kuhl and they fit perfectly. I couldn't even button these.

Cute, cute pants. Way too tight in the crotch however. I wanted comfortable, somewhat loose fitting cargo pants. Oh well.

VERY tight in the crotch, otherwise would have been perfect! Uncomfortable!

I AM 5' 1" 110 LBS I WEAR A SIZE 6 IN KUHLS I DON'T LIKE MY PANTS TO FIT TIGHT ESPECIALLY CARGOS I love Cargo pants and I love Kuhl brand, I was hoping these would be the summer weight I could wear in the spring and fall. I thought with the fabric content having cotton they would be softer. Swing and a miss I returned them but will keep waiting THEY ARE VERY CUTE FIT IS VERY LOOSE BUT IT’S THE LACK OF STRETCH THAT MAKES THEM TO UNCOMFORTABLE TO KEEP THE FABRIC IS NOT VERY SOFT FOR HAVING COTTON IN IT THEY ARE A BIT CRUNCHY

So...I have a booty and some thighs. I wear a 10 in most pants (yet they have to fit my curves), but these did not work out for me. I couldn't get them over my thighs and hips, which is a bummer, because I thought these mentioned they were meant for curves. If you have more of a straight figure, I think these would work best.
