Comfortable and stylish rain boot, but not so good for walking far distances.

I just moved to Seattle and bought these for these for the rainy days walking to and from work in the city. So far I'm not overly impressed. Primarily I wanted something that would keep my feet dry and look good, and for those two metrics I'm happy with the Gills. After a full day wearing them and walking a few miles my feet were spent. I may just wear them for the commute and change into sneakers in the office. When walking down hill my feet would tend to slide into the toe and feel crushed. The laces are tough to get right and even when they were sturdy my toes would slide into the toe, that is on some pretty steep downhill inclines. Overall they're okay, and I do like how they look and they keep my feet dry so I'm not unhappy with the purchase. If you aren't planning on walking down hills these might be great.
