While these are quite comfortable, they are NOT the older Sperry Driver I'm replacing. No where near as soft and padded inside and not as wide (noticeably a narrower shoe).

Very comfortable. Ordered two pairs, both had inconsistently colored leather. Kept the less inconsistent pair. Didn't have this issue with my prior pairs.

Nice shoes and very comfortable, but a couple negatives. 1. Runs slightly tighter than all my other 7 pairs of size 11 Sperry shoes. 2. Small cosmetic imperfections with ?glue stain on side of one shoe, which was unexpected at the Gold Cup price point but not super noticeable. 3. The stitches on the upper corners of the tongue (nearest ankle) missed the pre-punched holes so the corner stitches did not get a full bite of the tongue; this may make the leather rip near the tongue top corners and make the shoe fail in the long run. Seems to be holding together for now but it looks iffy, since those spots get strained every time you pull the shoes on. I think the drivers with laces would avoid this issue a bit, since you have the laces to help prevent those tongue corner stitches from taking all the tension. Probably would have bought the tan Harpswell 1-eye drivers instead if I could do it again, for that reason.

The leather, sole, and construction is excellent, exactly what I hoped for. However, the sizing is questionable. I purchased this 11W slip-on, to replace a similar Sperry slip-on product, also 11W, which wore out after three plus years of nearly constant use. Unfortunately the 11 length of the replacement is slightly shorter, almost too tight. Fortunately the leather is supple enough to stretch slightly to accommodate my toes. Though wearing it becomes uncomfortable after a few hours, unlike its predecessor. I realize that manufacturing processes will have subtle deviations in dimensions. But buying sight-unseen, I feel Sperry should exercise tighter quality controls.

I used this shoe for five years and travelled to many countries wearing it in all conditions. It's comfortable and long lasting.

I love Sperry's gold cups, its what I wear most of the time. pros... handsome shoe, all the quality u would expect in gold cups, a bit edgy, sleek, its a ballsy design with a nice mix of style and functionality. I personally found the shoe a bit narrow for my foot. I know i will stretch but my foot may be overhanging the sole at that point and my feet aren't even that wide.. ive never had to order wide shoes in any other brand. This design may have benfited from a tiny bit of color variation in the stitch, something subtle to accent the detail work. Ive been finding this sole loves to pick up rocks and pebbles... and the tongue is a bit long for my liking making it look too much like a slipper. All said and done though its a hell of a lot better than mosr of the footwear out there you can buy and beinf as I'm such a big fan of gold cups i need to give it a full try before i completely make up my mind. I traded in my black ones for some olive colored ones with the lace to help tone down the tongue. Love the color and so far im very happy. I hope sperry keeps innovating and never compromises quality, I plan to wear the brand the rest of my life.

Bought size W expecting it to be a wide fit in the toe area. No such luck. Way too narrow for that classification. Otherwise, it's a very well made shoe and comfortable. Hoping that the shoe will stretch some up front on wearing it.

I had the same experience as "JetAandCoffee" in that while an incredible shoe, and absolutely the most comfortable that I've ever worn, the design is flawed in that the rubber should wrap around the toe. In only a very short time I wore holes in the leather of the toes of both shoes. Regardless, I will be ordering another pair shortly, but hate the fact the shoe life will be so short.

True to Sperry, the insoles are very comfortable. The overall length was perfect, however they are a little narrow. I wear Nike Met Con, Converse, Adidas, other Sperry that all are consistent with my 10.5. These are narrow, but I'm confident they'll stretch out over time so plan on keeping them. They're well made, good looking, and comfortable.

I love these shoes and am now working on my fourth pair. They are incredibly stylish and comfortable, but recently I have found that the leather is breaking down very quickly. I use these for everything, work, leisure, they truly work great in virtually every situation. What I've found lately though is that a pair used to last 1-2 years and now they only last 6-12 months. If they could just improve some of the quality issues these would be the perfect shoe.

Usually wear a size 11 in sperry, but I was slipping out the back because of the length. Ordered a 10.5 regular and they were too narrow. Exchanging for a 10.5 wide hoping they'll be better.

the shoe looks good but as I mentioned it fits to narrow. In addition, the sole squeaks as you walk - this may because the shoes are still new.

I purchased these because Sperry discontinued production of the Kennebunk, which I've worn for several years in a size 12 regular. This shoe fits much smaller and narrower than the Kennebunk. I had to go with a 13 wide. Otherwise, it's comfortable and handsome as expected!

Very nice fitting and wearing shoe. I wore these about 4x a week for about 16 months, and they have both developed a hole in the front of the shoe, just from wear as it's leather very near the ground in the front. So, kind of trash after about a year and a half... But very nice otherwise.

At this price point, one should compare to others in the Venetian category (Rockport & others). This is comfortable, but the heel is thicker than others, and less flexible. It hurts my heel a bit. This one also runs a bit small, so order a half size up.

I bought this shoe online because it honestly has a careful and sophisticated design that allows the user look timeless during every day wear or even to special events. The versatility is spot on and the color (tan) allows for more frequent use with other colors of clothing. The gold cup seal provides that comfort on the sole throughout the day as well. My only negative critique is that it's too narrow at the toes. My last 2 toes on both feet were becoming irritated after just wearing them for 5-10 minutes. I thought that buying a whole size up (9M) from my original order (8M) would do the trick but then that was too big. Then I bought a 1/2 size down (8.5M) and that was still causing the irritation. I like the shoe so much that I will have to return my exchange and purchase the wide size (8.5W). I didn't think to get wide because I've never purchased a wide size shoe before. I'm 5'9 145 pounds with a slim build. Overall, great looking shoe just too narrow at the top.

I read all the user reviews and decided I should order 1/2 size larger & a wider width. The width was appropriate in the wide sizing. The length was 1/2 size too long; should have ordered my normal size. Sent them back & ordered another style.
