RUN TOO SMALL

I have had other Sketchers shoes and found them to be very comfortable. The box says “relaxed”. I found them too wide: my feet were swimming in them. Sadly, they do not come in narrow, and so I have to return them.

I have purchased several pairs of Skechers in the past and have always been more than happy with my purchases. When I needed a new pair of shoes, I went to the Skechers store and tried these on. They seemed really comfortable so I bought them. After wearing them for a couple of days, I realized that there is very little padding in the ball of the foot area. The sole of the shoe is rather nubby so after wearing these a while, my feet started to really hurt. I also think that these run a little narrow. They seem to squeeze my feet which my other Skechers never have done. I bought those cushions to put in for the balls of my feet and that does help but I'm pretty disappointed in these shoes. I keep wearing them though, thinking maybe they'll eventually stretch out and be comfortable. Fingers crossed.

I will try a different style. One I know that fits me very well.

These were going to be hiking shoes to replace similar Skechers ( 2 other pairs) that I'd had for several years. However using them for the first time and walking through grass with morning dew, they stained around the toe area for a inch or two. When they dried there was a dark water mark which did not come out. The leather is rough and porous. I've owned several pairs of Skechers in addition to the other hiking style shoes by Skechers and that never happened. I did not expect these shoes to be "fashionable", but I am very disappointed that they already look so poorly. They are comfortable as all the other Skechers I"ve owned, but the quality of the leather is very poor. The other Skechers I owned were a smoother leather. These also left brown stains on the inside on the white athletic socks I was wearing. Unfortunately, the photo does not show the damage as clearly as it actually appears.

Bought them for a trip but tested them at home. I'll leave them behind. They make feel super tired and my feet/ankle/knees hurt a lot after wearing them for 4hrs while walking around.
