8 was small 9 was big, needed 8.5 but they don't make em. Bummed cause I LOVE the style and look.

Returning. I feel the boots would have been roasty/toasty in winter but felt too wide

These boots are adorable and I love the fuzzy insoles. They would be nice and warm. But with the insole there wasn't room enough for my feet with warm socks. And I didn't feel like they made enough flat contact with the ground. I wanted them to wear on slippery icy conditions and I just don't think they will work. Sadly I am sending them back.

I ordered both a size 7 and size 8 as I normally take a 7 1/2. I honestly could have gone with either, but decided to keep the 8 as my foot is wide and there was a little more room if I choose to wear heavy socks. I would have returned the size 7 regardless as it was obvious that they had not only been tried on, but worn for a while. There were creases in both boots on the top where your foot bends. I understand the need to walk around the house a little to test the boots for comfort, but these should never have been sold as NEW. I find this unacceptable for $160. boots.

This is an adorable and comfortable boot. The only problem was that the fleece lining in the bottom of the boot was a little bunched up and wouldn't lie flat. Unfortunately, this made an otherwise comfortable boot unwearable.

The instep was too tight, pinching my feet, so had to return them.

I’m a true 9.5 and have probably read every review imaginable before buying these in a 10. I have the Dr Martens Emmeline in a 9, but wanted a winter boot that wouldn’t feel tight. For reference, I bought the Sorel Joan of Arctic’s in a 9 a few years ago and ending up selling them once I realized the foot bed was too small. I also have heeled Blundstones in a 9.5 which are perfect. These are gorgeous in person and super warm for my Upstate New York weather. I do have about a finger’s width distance at my heel, and wish they were 1/2 a size smaller (they’re pretty visibly bulky compared to my other boots)! But overall they’ve been comfortable right off the bat with no break-in period. Highly recommend, especially if you are not a half size.

The fit is great. Size is accurate. Looks super cute and comfortable and keeps my feet warm!

Fits true to size but feels very stiff around the high ankle area.

I got these in a 5 even though I'm a 5 and a half and maybe should have gone up to a 6. They're just too small and I didn't realize it until I wore them out for a while.

My other pair of Dr. Martens is a pair of lace up boots and the leather is now super soft. I remember them being stiff in the beginning, but not this stiff. I really wanted a pair of chelsea boots, they have shearling, AND they've got the Dr. Martens style! They're so hard and stiff they'll need so much time to break in that I'm wondering if they ever will. You might have to wear socks that extend past these guys or have your pants/leggings inside. I haven't worn these for extended periods yet, but I've experienced this with other boots that are rigid. They chafe your leg at the opening and will leave welts.

These boots felt 2 sizes bigger. Even my sister who is a full shoe size bigger than me, couldn't fit them because they were too big.
