The color was nice, I liked the off-white of the outer strip of the sole (rather than stark white). There was room in the toe box, they were easy to put on, and yes there is arch support. However, I returned them. the back of the shoe is low, does not hug the heel and even brand new when taking a step wearing them i walk right out of the shoes. I do have a somewhat narrow heel, but the main issue was the low back, not high enough to stay where it belongs, I guess.

Love Taos but for some reason this show felt so much smaller than the size it was. The shoe felt very narrow as well. Maybe if I had ordered up a size it would've been better however that wouldn't have made the narrowness any better (I always wear a normal width shoe).

These shoes run very narrow. I bought a half-size up as suggested and they were still way too small. They are going back. :(

Feels much bigger than sized. Heel area too wide - lots of slippage.

This has potential to be a cute and comfortable shoe but runs VERY small and the shape of the toe box is not the shape of a foot. I usually wear a 10 or 10.5, but ordered an 11 because reviews recommend buying larger. The 11 fit everywhere except my big toe hit the end. I have a normal sized big toe! So I am out of luck because the shape of the toe box just didn't work for me and even if there was a larger size it would then be too big. It does have a nice comfortable insole though.

These shoes just ran a tad bit short in length. I guess I needed a 10.5 instead of the size ten I ordered but it's not available in a 10.5. Too bad. Nice shoe!

I was not happy with these shoes; the arch felt like it was in the middle (center) of my foot, not where my arch is and the seam on the outside of the right shoe was very uncomfortable.

These are nice looking shoes with excellent arch support. I'm very sad they are so narrow and small for my foot. I wear a womens 11 which is the largest size Zappos carries in this style. Unfortunately the size 11 is way to narrow and small for my foot. I wore them around the house and after 5 minutes my feet were tingling because the shoe was so tight. If I could order a size up I'd do it in a minute. This is a great option for people looking for a light canvas shoe with arch support. Order at least half a size larger. If you have wider feet you'll probably need a full size larger.

Too narrow for me, I have a high arch and the elastic feels too tight. They're cute, it's just me...

These shoes were cute, and had moderate support—but zero cushion. I liked them but had to return them due to hardness of sole. Zappos is a wonderful shoe shopping experience.

This is my fourth pair of Taos shoes. They never disappoint with style, fit and comfort. Except this time: I like the style a lot, they are exactly what I was looking for, as an every day walking shoes this spring and during a trip to France. However, they make my feet hot, even when the temperature is only in the high sixties, low seventies. And I developed a blister on each of my little toes from rubbing. The fit is right, they are not too narrow and the sole is cushioned and comfortable, but I won't be taking them on my trip. I'm not even going to walk much with them at home since they cause blisters.

These are really cute but the fit didn't work for me. The heel is too big, and I don't have narrow heels. The insole seemed comfortable, with arch support.

The arch support was fantastic! But felt like no padding at all under the ball of my foot and the heel slipped. Loved the arch support, so I wish this had worked.

This sneaker is cute, and I would've kept it if it fit. Others' reviews are usually very helpful to me, but not this time. I have narrow, low-volume feet and wear a 9 1/2. This was described as running narrow. I would say that it does not, but runs true to size. It was also described as soft. I would say it's a little abrasive in bare feet. The oddest thing about this shoe is that the insert is so substantial (something I would typically welcome!) that it doesn't fit the shoe. It takes up too much space, so the heal slips. Anyone out there who has tried to fit a custom orthodic in a shoe with a "low-rise" will know what I'm talking about. I continue to search for a casual canvas sneaker with some arch support.

The great thing about Zappos is it allows you to try on a bunch of different brands of the same style shoe you are looking for. I was trying to find a cute slip-on tennis shoe that was pretty classic in styling, but not dated looking. Although Taos gets great reviews - for me this brand has way TOO much arch support - I couldn't even get my foot in it. So, back it goes - but I know next time this is not the brand for me. Too bad - the shoe is darling.

my foot is too claustrophobic in this shoe--should have thought about that before I ordered it. So returning it.

Sadly these did not fit my heel in the back. Much too wide in the heel area causing slipping every step I took. Cute shoe!

Very cute and great arch support. Unfortunately, the foot bed was a bit too narrow toward the front of the shoe, and the sides rubbed on both my pinky toes. I could forsee blisters. My feet are pretty narrow, but I need to be able to spread my toes for balance! I usually wear barefoot styles, but needed more arch support. I agree with other reviewers that the heel may be a bit wide. I think ordering a half size up might fix the toe problem but then the shoe would likely flop off.

I typically wear an 8, this shoe squished my big toe and my heel came out when walking.

I'm giving up on Taos shoes and custom orthotics. Their sneaker insole is super cushy and thick and gives a lot of structure to the shoe. When you remove it to insert a custom orthotic, there's not much left in terms of bottom and side support. I'm an 8 in shoes and 8.5 in sneakers. The 8 was a bit too snug in these so I'd recommend sizing up a half size if that's what you usually do for sneakers.

So cute! I wanted them to fit so badly! I wear a 9 in sandals and flip flops but 9.5 in boots and closed toe shoes. I ordered a 10 because of reviews. The size would have been good a half size larger. So if you wear a solid 9 a 10 should work for you. Where my big toe was it pressed down on my toe making It too tight. They are such great looking shoe with support I need but just do not work without half sizing
