These are a super lightweight hiking sock, but I really preferred the Thorlos Light Hiking Mini Crew to this sock. The Thorlos Ultra Light Hiking socks do have a lot more of the cool THOR·WICK COOL content, but 17% nylon, whereas the Thorlos LIght Hiking Mini Crew has less Thorwick Cool and less nylon, but adds Acrylic, which I find to provide much better padding for callous prone, blister prone feet, esp. older feet like mine, although they are a "tad" warmer. The Thorlos Ultra Light Hiking is indeed, the coolest hiking sock out there, and if your feet tend to overheat or you are hiking/walking in hot climate, you will like these. It takes a while to learn about sock fabric content, and what works best for you. I can help with size though. I am a solid women's 9 in a flat and 9.5 in an athletic shoe, and the Size:MD (Men's Shoe 5.5-8.5, Women's Shoe 6.5-10) fit perfectly.

These are the best for those of us with bigger calves! And they stay up, wick well, and last forever

I love these socks and wear them all the time. They're very comfortable and wear well. Great for every day and short hikes.

Had a snag when I opened the package but seem like a decent 'hiking' sock. Not very thick.

These were much thinner than I anticipated, and not the cushioning I had wanted in the toe.

Color is darker / greyish, not beige / skin toned. Fabric is also not plush / padded like most hiking socks
