This shoe is the most comfortable shoe to me. Wear these for a week and then put on your favorite nikes or adidas etc. You won’t want to wear anything but these eccos!

As a lady with a wide foot who wears the smaller men's sizes to gain more width, I'm very happy with this Biom version. Orthotics are not necessary because the entire shoe functions as an anatomically correct orthotic for me, and the comfort is Ecco worthy great. The style is sporty and appropriate for a casual work setting...If you need to be on your feet all day long and your feel and lower legs are screaming by the end of day, this is the shoe for you...

I was looking for a water resistant walking shoe whose tread would be more durable on concrete than I had with prior hiking shoes. These shoes seemed promising when I first put them on. They had a very stable feel in the sole, were light weight, and had nice soft uppers. Unfortunately even though the fit seemed good, the right shoe rubbed a blister on my heel after just a few miles. I couldn't find a lace pattern to make the heel sit well so I returned them. I wish the fit had been better for me, I really liked these.

I have been buying ECCO shoes exclusively for 15 years. This pair of Biom GTX shoes is the most comfortable yet, right out of the box.They look good, fit well and have plenty of room in the toe box to accomodate the bunion on one foot.

Light and water resistant but the arches are too high so it hurts the middle of my foot. Or I guess I just have flat feet? Still a great shoe.

I really like these shoes. I was nervous buying these because of some of the previous reviews. This is NOT my first pair of ECCOS so seeing the reviews, I wondered if this would end my streak of incredible fit shoes. I got them for overnight backpacking trips where weight matters to me. They do not fit like tennis shoes, but they are perfect hiking shoes for me. With the Gortex material around the outside and the flexible sole, they are very protective and yet still comfortable. Took my foot about two days to get used to how they made contact. That was because I wore them straight out of the box. On the second day I loosened the laces all the way down to the bottom and reset them, they fit like a glove.

All I can say is WOW, these shoes are amazing, another winner from the ECCO Biom series. Super comfy from the first time you wear them, actually feel like worn/broke-in sneakers, waterproof but they do breathe so I am confident I can wear these in all four seasons comfortably. I got the black/black and they look sharp, could even pass for dress casual in my opinion, will definitely dress up khaki's, blue jeans or shorts. Of all the shoes I own, including three pairs of Ecco's (2 pairs of Biom's) these offer the best support in the arch and heel, quality you can feel and enjoy! I am normally a USA size 10.5 D and as usual the EU 44 in Biom's are a perfect fit, just a tiny bit snug but that allows the yak leather to stretch out over time. Just keep in mind if you order these EU 44 it leans towards the tighter end of USA size 10.5 D, width was fine in D/M. First thing I did before wearing outside was spray Woly Wet Blocker on them to further protect my now fav casual shoe from dirt, oil and other debris while also making them a breeze to clean up with a damp rag. Would rate these higher than 5 stars if I could, LOVE them, well deserved 5 stars! As usual Zappos is awesome, I had a small issue that was dealt with immediately and to my complete satisfaction.

Out-of-the-box these felt great. Walking around the house and going to the store they still felt great. It wasn’t until I wore them on a 2.5 mile walk through the woods that I noticed what I would consider a major design flaw. There is horizontal stitching across the heel of the shoe that caused two good sized blisters.

Wanted to keep these, but they are just a bit too narrow. They feel great underfoot but then started to put pressure on a bone spur on the top of the big toe. The lowered heel feels like it might work for my hallux rigidus if the toe box were wider/taller. I'll watch this brand, but back to the Keens for now.

So, I had never spent more than 60 dollars on shoes before so this was a new experience for me. Also the first time I have bought shoes online without trying them on first. Definitely a treat to spend that type of money on shoes so it is possible my expectations may have been too high. I have had them for a month and they feel nice but no nicer than any other shoe I have bought before for lower cost. I hope I get at least 3 years out of them as the other shoes I have had couldn't make it to two years. If that occurs I will update the review to say they are a good value. They fit fine and look nice but will probably go to a lower price shoe next time.

So, while I will be sending these back to Zappos, it is more a reflection on me than on these shoes. The Biom Ventures are well made and fit is very consistent with all the other ECCOs I have. The yak leather upper is very supple and the shoes feel very secure; with excellent grip from the two-tone sole. Styling is... unique... with the poly support "wing" up each side and the overall clean profile of the front of the shoe. That said, I found it a pretty handsome shoe. My issue, and perhaps a weird one, is that for a wide load like me (6'2", 260) they are too cushy! The nice part of the midsole/sole construction is a slight rolling sensation as you walk -- great for putting on some miles. The downside for me, though, was while standing the heel was so soft it felt like I was sinking into the shoes, which was not comfortable.

I've bought and worn ECCO for years, both street and golf shoes, and I love them. I wear a size 10 and their 10 - 10.5 size has always fit perfectly so I was surprised when this pair was way too big. I've returned them and have ordered the 9.5

I love these shoes. From the first time I put them on, some of the most comfortable ECCOs I've worn. Unfortunately, they squeak too much when I wear them on most surfaces so I'll be returning them. Don't want to announce my entry into every room before I get there. Highly recommend that ECCO reconsiders the sole material. Perfect in every other way.

I can't even explain, how this sneakers is perfect!!! The most wonderful sneakers I've had!!! Very light, soft, like second sock!!! Fits as expected!!! Very cosy!!! Very good suede!!! Marwellous!!!

Just bought my second pair in a different color. Very comfortable whether working at my stand-up desk at the office, or going for long hikes. (I use a thin Gore Tex insole with this shoe.)

Fit perfect!

I have a bunch of ECCO shoes; dress shoes, Biom Ecco golf shoes, Ecco sandals, love their products. I bought the Sport Biom GTX ties before a 2 week Europe trip, and walked a ton in them. Very highly recommend. The shoes fit true to size, just like all my Eccos. There was no break in required on these sneakers, and I now have two pair, which I wear almost every day for casual use. Love them, super comfy and supportive. Totally worth the money.

Best pair of shoes I have ever own. I had to go back and see when I bought it and looks like 2-3 years ago. It is the only pair of shoes I wear for work and pleasure and finally started breaking down. Usually my sneakers wear out after 6 months so well worth the investment.

These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. My foot is on the wide side of normal but I have no fitment issue with these or most other Ecco shoes. They were just a bit snug when I tried them on but formed perfectly to my feet after wearing them around the house for a couple hours. Excellent leather, great arch support and a very comfortable sole. 5 Stars!

I have been wearing a pair of Ecco Biom shoes for the last three years and have needed to replace them for a least a year but never liked how they changed the look of the shoe. I liked the look of these and ordered them. Couldn’t be happier with the shoes. They look great and feel great. I’m consistently a size 12 and my foot is a bit narrow. The size 45 is a perfect fit.

Very comfortable shoes - probably the most comfortable shoes that I own. Fit was perfect and quality is excellent.

Great travel shoe for Europe and great for rainy/slushy weather. I walked 10-15 miles a day in Rome with these during a rainy spring week and my feet never hurt or got wet. I had very little break in time prior and got no blisters, either. I wish they were just a touch dressier. The bright red sole and lace eyelets could be black without affecting the function of the shoe but would make it a lot more versatile.

One shoe developed an annoying squeak. Ecco was not responsive as to how to possibly fix the problem. Additionally, the upper material stains even when treated with sealant.
