Very sleek dressy belt. I got this in Walnut to match my walnut strand and Fifth Avenue. It's a little bit darker than my Strands but is a very nice belt. You really don't need to buy a AE belt in walnut to match walnut shoes, but this belt is definitely a very nice belt. Looks great with a suit.

I like the quality. It does not bend leaving a big mark from the buckle. It is thicker and better quality of leather. Great styling. Expensive but worth it.

I tried this belt just because it is a AE. I expected it to be good, but it is even better than I expected. I would recommend this belt to my friends.

I was hoping the mahogany belt would better match a pair of mahogany shoes I ordered, but it's much darker. Otherwise, it's well made, and another belt is always helpful.

The Midland Ave belt in black is a great, classic look. I'm a bit concerned about visible creasing with time, because the leather is relatively soft, but I can't comment at this time. I thought the Midland Ave belt in Walnut looked rather plastic-y, so I returned it. Your mileage may vary.

Excellent quality belt as I've come to expect from AE. Fits exactly how they said it would. It's expensive but if it lasts like the other AE products I've purchased then i'll be satisfied.

Probably just personal preference but I found the belt to be too thick for a dress belt. As a taller/thinner guy it appeared to be too noticeable of a belt. The size was fine but I prefer something nit as thick.

Belt looks good, but the quality is questionable. After a few wears, it's developed a strange rippling effect across the leather that detracts from the attractiveness of the piece. For the price paid, that's unfortunate. I'll look elsewhere the next time I need a belt.

The belt was purchased to match my grey Strands shoes. The belt has an odd shine to it that almost makes it look and feel cheap. Without the shoe match need I would not have bought this belt. I'll keep it for that reason alone. Also, AE online ships using FedEx - the worst (albeit cheapest) shipping carrier that can't seem to deliver on time, or even to the correct address sometimes. So a cheap feeling belt eventually comes to me via a cheap shipping company. Not a good impression for a company that prides itself on quality.

Nice belt, but the color was a lighter shade of blue than expected. Had to return it, because it does not match either pair of my blue shoes.

I'm really happy with the colour and style overall. The colour has, though, after only 5 days started to rub-away where the belt goes through the buckle. No 'care' instructions were included, which was disappointing.

I agree with a previous reviewer that the mahogany color is basically black. It does have brownish hints to it, but if you need a belt to match your AE mahogany shoes, this is not even remotely close. It will look like you paired a black belt with brown shoes. I thought the benefit of ordering a belt from the shoe company was being able to match the leathers. I guess not with AE.

It pains me to give anything AE a bad review. This belt in mahogany is overall fantastic--except it's drastically, tragically, entirely the wrong color. I bought it to match the Fifth Avenue in mahogany. Beautiful shoes. Beautiful belt. They do not match. I know it's ok to pair a darker belt with lighter shoes. But this is way, way darker. The shoes are brown with a bit of orange-red, and the belt is practically black. Two stars is harsh, I know. But (a) the main function of the color naming convention, one would think, is to facilitate matching. And (b) someone who buys shoes and belt both in mahogany is buying (or at least might be, and I'm exhibit A) two products that simply don't work together. In short: it's hard for me to give AE two stars on a high-quality product, but it's even harder for me to give more than two stars for a product that is not usable for its primary intended purpose--matching with shoes. It's back to the catalog to take some guesses at which color belt will actually match my shoes.

I have bought several of these belts of different colors to go with AE shoes I've also purchased. Overall, the quality is not what I would expect for the price or from Allen Edmonds in general. The belt itself is okay, but the leather will quickly become worn and discolored where the buckle touches or if it rubs against much of anything. You wouldn't expect a dress belt to be particularly rugged, but these don't have any sort of durability. The biggest issue I have seen with every belt of this type purchased is with the buckle. Within a few uses (if it takes that long) the buckle will become destroyed and look horrible. It seems like whatever coating is put on the buckles to give the silver appearance quickly chips or rubs off, leaving the buckle looking like it's been roughly beat up.

This is highly disappointing. Bought a couple months ago, worn maybe 8-10 timesat this price point I just can't understand how this is the quality being put out. Poor quality.

Not worth it. Purchased for Christmas in 2021 and fell apart. I am disappointed in Allen Edmonds. I was a loyal customer and a huge promoter of the brand. But I have to say that the quality has certainly suffered.

I am an outspoken advocate of AE on all of their products that I have purchased BUT this belt is disappointing. The Midland Ave really misses the mark on quality. The leather looks cheap and like something you would buy from a big box store and not from an "American-made" company of fine leather products. I am returning the belt tomorrow to purchase a different product in hopes they haven't changed the quality of the Manistee or one of their other series I already own in other colors. Hopefully this isn't a sign of the future quality of the brand.

Oxblood color didn't come close to matching my oxblood shoes.
