The shoe has great support and breath ability- the only reason I didn't give a 5 star is bc it runs a bit wide

The size was close, except these 14 6Es were not sufficiently wide and not as wide as some other New Balance Size 14 4E running shoes.

Great fitting trail shoe. I ordered them in wide and have lots of room for my wide toes. Great grip on the trail and fairly lightweight for a trail shoe.

This is second pair. Comfortable, but sole is failing on first pair even though they are NOT worn out. Still like the comfort.

I bought these for my Sweetie for his birthday. These are the first shoes that I've ever seen in 6E. He said that these were the only shoes he's ever had that, at last, felt wide enough. One of our kids has his wide feet too. New Balance are the shoes for them!

My physical therapist said I needed a shoe with excellent support and lateral stability for my Jazzercise and Zumba classes (instead of the forward/back stability of running shoes). The 857v2 fits the bills, my knees and ankles are happier. Just note that it runs much shorter than the 990 series (running) and the 928 (walking shoe).

Just used these today for the first time. These were purchased to serve as my tennis shoes (play 2-3 times a week). The main thing for me is comfort as I have neuropathy in my feet and so many shoes are just rough on my feet. These shoes provide very nice comfort as I played 3 sets in them and then kept them on and went out to dinner with my family- all the time these shoes were perfect.
As far as sizing: so many shoes seem to be running narrow, but these seem true to size. They look great too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I have had very few 5 star shoes in my day and I have only worn them once. So far so (really) good.

I have a lot of health issues with walking and leg pain. This shoe with the rollbar has greatly reduced my pain and allowed me to walk much further and enjoy life. It could use a bit more cushion, but overall it's the best walking shoe I have come across.

Still don't have anything that fits properly and is comfortable to walk in since you discontinued Dr. Gould's 587 shoe that he designed for his foot surgery patients. He said that I would never be able to walk comfortably in any shoe other than the 587 for the rest of my life, after 17 foot surgeries. Boy was he right!!! He had a contract with NB to make 587s till 2020, and obviously NB reneged on that contract. Since he died 2 years ago, there is nothing he can do about that now. What a shame! This 857v2 is closer to fitting like the 587 than anything else NB has had, but is still not quite there. It is still too tight in the toe box. I'm sure I'm not the only foot surgery patient of Dr. Gould's that got screwed over when the 587 was discontinued. He performed 2 major surgeries on my feet to correct the damage done by 2 podiatrists after their 15 surgeries, 11 of which were attempts to correct their botched up first 4 surgeries.

I have shoes just for the gym: aerobic-treadmill days, and resistance days [Nike 3x black Tns]. these shoes are for use on the treadmill and replaced some old Adidas. the fit is a little firm and even after a couple of weeks, I'm not liking them. they're also just a smidge wide for me but otherwise, the length is true to size. not in any way relevant to performance, but they're a little chunky-clunky aesthetically [still loving my NB Audazos and the skate shoes I wore through a couple of years ago though which is why I gave these a try]. no points were accepted for this review.

Found them to be too narrow for comfort even though I ordered the wide.

Been buying 'the better quality', 'more expensive" NB wide trainers and I have been happy. This pair of 875 frayed on the ankle upper sides and isn't as firm or supporting all around as previous NB trainers. I don't work them hard and use 'molded' to my feet orthotics. Next purchase will be a less expensive pair of trainer to compare. Happy with the width, the reason I buy NB shoes.

The shoe is Ok, but not as comfortable as my prior experiences with a NB shoe.

This is now the only training shoe available with stability features and it's OK+, but not great. It lacks the cushioning of the 900/1000 Series shoes which I have worn from 901-the1211s that are no longer offered. It's just not the shoe those were. But it's at the same high price.
But, if weight training is an important part of your gym routine, this is your only choice from NB. They'll be OK, but I sure wish the 1211s were still on offer.

Less cushioning than I wanted. I'm really disliking the online purchasing. For me the finding the right size is becoming a problem.

I have a narrow foot and these shoes fit great. I also like the look in suede...something I can wear at work. However, I was surprised by the hardness of the sole. There is not much give in the heel and they seem to "clomp" as I walk. I was hoping for some more cushioning due to my plantar fasciitis. My previous New Balance shoes(different model) seemed a lot softer under foot.

Unfortunately it did not fit. It is not the shoe's fault. I have foot problems and use orthotics, which makes me very difficult to fit. Many New Balance 12.5 B shoes fit me. But not all. The 857v2 was long enough but the toe box seemed slightly too short in height for my odd feet.

I walk about 5 miles a day. I have found the soles wearing excessively fast. I'd say they have reached about 50% of their life. The value doesn't represent the price

Price was good but these are not as comfortable as my previous style NB. The support is different but in fairness this is a different shoe. Wide width fits but the ankle support is not as expected.

The tongue is thinner than in the past and cranking down laces is a bit uncomfortable initially.
Also footbed used to fit me better. This set needs an aftermarket bed.
Very good support. 6'2", 200#
Will likely but again

Good fit but no arch support or much cushion. Should have stayed with 624.
