EE felt very tight. Not a lot of give at the toe.

I have been wearing these for a couple months now and bought them for crossfit workouts as they are one of a handful of crossfit/training shoes that are sold in a wide. They are definitely not wide shoes as they feel much narrower than standard width Nike Metcons or most Reebok Crossfit shoes. The toe box is also a bit pointier making them not the greatest lifting shoes. They do feel durable and have stretched out a bit. I would say this is a good shoe overall if you don't have wide feet.

I like the Minimus shoes and they tend to be roomy. These are not. I had to order the 2E and they are still a bit snug. I wear a 10.5 in dress shoes but 11 in NB - these 11EE but should have tried EEE.

Great shoe especially if you were lucky enough to get a pair in Gray. Who ever thought that the ugly green was a good idea to manufacture should change jobs. I'm sure there will be a huge clearance sale soon on the "green" Only choice left is green......I wonder why. Did you forget about blue, black and yes....white. New Balance needs to look into this

I like the comfort and fit of these shoes and enjoyed wearing them for workouts. I am disappointed in how the shoelace has ripped through the top eyelet of the shoes which has made me retire them after only about 3 months. I do tend to lace the shoes fairly tight before workouts, but don't most people. New Balance should reinforce the shoelace eyelets with plastic like what is done in many other running/training shoes.

I should have read more of the reviews because my problem seems to be the same as many others. While my foot is not freakishly wide, I still take a wide shoe in almost all brands. This Shoe in the length is true to size, but the wide isn't wide at all, in fact, it was very tight. I wish New Balance would make this shoe in a true wide or offer it in x-wide because everything else about the shoe seems great. I like the minimal idea and more flat footbed without too much heel rise, but unfortunately will have to send mine back,

As a woman with a small toe bunion, I wear men's sneakers. I was looking for a black/gray more casual sneaker. I loved the look of the sneaker but it had a odd shape to the front of the shoe, sloping down from the big toe to the small toe. It just did not feel comfortable and it did not have much cushioning in the foot bed (I am used to Asics which are heaven!)

This shoes feels long and narrow. I've been wearing Reebok Nanos and Nike Metcons for CrossFit workouts. Compared to these brands the NB in same size is a bit longer and more narrow. Otherwise this was a very comfortable shoe for the hour I wore around the house before deciding to return.

I got the wide but it is too narrow. Also is has elastic connecting to the tongue making it seem too snug. It is a shame because I love the design.

Probably a good shoe for weight lifting, but I like to cross train and looking for something with more cushion. I was really disappointed with the fit as I always buy New Balance 10.5 EE and it just felt too small. Maybe if I tried an 11 EE I would have felt better.

Meh. NB is branding this as a Minimus but I don't really think it is a minimal shoe. Compared to the previous Minimus running and cross training shoes I've owned, there is a lot more cushioning. I can't really feel the ground through this shoe. The forefoot is also much narrower/snugger and doesn't really allow your foot to "splay". I got 2E width and it still feels snug. You can see this in the footprint of the shoe compared to previous iterations of the Minimus shoes. I really don't get it. NB already makes many other shoe models for those not into minimal shoes. I don't understand the decisions behind this latest iteration. My favorite Minimus shoes for crosstraining and running was the MX20v4. Please bring that model back, NB.

I bought these shoes the other day and I have to admit they are comfortable and fit pretty true to size for me. They feel soft yet give you good feedback from the ground. My biggest complaint is the durability of these shoes, I did one workout in them and added in some agility work on a hard surface (tennis court/outdoor basketball court type surface) and the outsole of the shoe in the forefoot showed significant wear after just one workout. If you're going to use these in the gym with rubber floors they are probably great shoes but I would not recommend using then on any harder or firmer surface as they obviously break down fast. I have to say I expected a better more versatile shoe.

I have had this shoe for less than a year. The shoe feels great and is very responsive to all my workouts. My workouts consist of HIIT, Crossfit, Lifting and other cardio. They run a tad narrow but fit my high arches very well compared to Metcon. The rubber sole on the shoe has already started to separate from the shoe on the heal. I would have wished they would have lasted longer because most of the rubber tread is not even showing wear. Great shoe and highly recommend but giving a low rating based on the durability of the shoe.

The shoe is overpriced for it's quality. With the shoe appearing to have minimal drop, I expected it to have a sturdy foundation. The sole however is very flimsy and compresses with ease. Not the reliable foundation I'd expect from a minimus shoe from NB. The grip on the sole is surprisingly sub par with it being vibram. The model appears to be a good start, but needs a lot of work to get 5 stars. I'd appreciate a sturdier sole similar to the metcon or Nano. This one is just too flexible and flimsy for the wear it'll receive in the weight room and training.

Ordered in a 2E size and it fit very close to a standard size. Had to return. Good looking shoe but if it doesn't fit I cannot speak to the functionality.

Ordered 1/2 size larger as suggested in many other reviews but ended up being 1/2 size too large. Would have returned either way. Heel doesn’t sit well and feels like foot not going to stay in

I have always preferred New Balance when it comes to sneakers because I require wide sized shoes. When I saw this new trainer I thought I'd give it a try for Crossfitting and running after owning No Bull's, Inov-8's and previous versions of NewB. I am extremely disappointing in this sneaker. After wishing my previous sneakers were just a bit wider, I thought these would be the answer, but they are not. Please make a wide shoe again, New Balance...I'll be taking my $ elsewhere. It earns 2 stars because it might be a great shoe for narrower feet.

I use this type of shoe for general workouts. I do alot of elliptical work. The shoes I use now is the New Balance MR 20 CR 1. They are 2e in width and from out of the box were very roomy and comfortable in the toe box. They are an excellent shoe for indoor work. They have air vents on the bottom of sole. New Balance discontinued this style. I am guessing because they are not made for outside conditions. Over the years New Balance changed the last of the minimus shoes making them less comfortable and about a 1/4 of an inches more narrow. I was expecting the Minimus 40 to fit the same however, they are way to snug. Feels like the outer edge of my foot is falling off the edge of the shoe. I am very disappointed and will probably end up returning them. Why do they do this is beyond me... I'm very sad because they are a great looking shoe as well.

Ordered these due to the availability of wide width. The shoes are short for the listed size and not very wide in the "wide width". Can't give any other feedback as they were almost too small to get on. I wear other New Balanve shoes (in wide) usually without issue.

They are true to size but for the price I was expecting something more substantial. The toe box fits just okay and the heel cup of the insert is a bit high with the walls a bit off. All and all they have a lot of work to do on these
