The first day I wore these, my feet hurt so badly especially in the arch area. I had to keep slipping my feet in and out of them to get some relief. I wear flip flops for hours at a time regularly, so I didn't think I'd have a problem with these. The soles of my feet were also black from the rubber residue. I was not expecting that. Since I can't return them because they've been worn, I've worn them a couple more times. There seems to be less discomfort with each wear. I shouldn't have to experience discomfort to find out how comfortable these are though. I really wanted to have these for vacation, but now I'm glad they didn't come in time. We did quite a bit of walking, and these would have made me miserable. Thank goodness I had a backup competitor's brand with me.

I bought a pair of these in 2005 at a surf shop and I still have them. I was so excited when I saw the same shoe again in Dillards. Unfortunately, the thongs popped out of both shoes at the same time, just one month after purchasing. I'm glad I hung on to the 15 year old pair. Those are the best flip flops ever.

Runs small

I've been in love with Reef flip flops since the 90's. I love the butter line of flip flops. Was excited to see them being made again as I've had several pair. They're super comfortable and normally long lasting. The last pair I bought was different as they started making them with vegan leather. I bought them this past year and wore them nearly everyday. Sadly, they did not hold up like previous pairs and the vegan leather wore off in 3 months. Now, I'm in the market for a new pair. Hoping they give the option for real leather again or I'm going to be looking elsewhere.

Ordered my regular size, but they were too small. Also, free returns? No return address label. Not a good experience.

Please please please who can I contact about brining back the original butter reef . For the skinny surfer girls with fat feet! That love the beach but also have to go to work ! They were perfectly square at toe . Fine if you got them wet or in sand . The new ones are pointed at toe and soft Faberic you can't let touch water or sweat because they will stink!

Very cushy, but sadly the straps are too tight. These have to be returned. Wish it wasn't so!

If you are a fan of the original Reef Butter, you may not like these. The foot bed is cut at an angle rather than slightly squared off (as the orginals were). The new ones have a really pronounced arch support. This may appeal to some but didn't work for me. I wear a 9 or 9.5 medium or narrow in all shoes. I ordered these in a 9 and they are barely long enough. I owned five or six pairs of the Reef Butter with leather insoles. Loved them and wore them until they fell apart. They were perfect. These, not so much. Wish they would bring back the old ones, but I know that won't happen.

I really, really thought I would love this flip flop because I owned an old pair of reefs with a higher footbed and they were sooooo comfortable. I don't know if the original pair I owned were the butter cushion line, but they did not have an arch and were much more comfortable. Also, as others noted, the black rubbed off on the sole of my foot and the older ones did not do that. very disappointed because i thought I had found my perfect platform flip flop again. Also, (perhaps because of the arch?), made my heel fall into a default position that slightly went over the inside edge of the flip flop so I felt that it might be unstable.

i love the size of the heel. i wish you made more with this size of heel. But arch of the shoe is too high. would love to have a shoe like this with a lower arch if not, a shoe with no arch. The cushion is perfect

The Reef Comfort Butter is very comfy, but did not last long. I had a pair for 5 years that I wore out! They were great! My new black pair only lasted 2 months and the thong popped out. I tried to glue it back in because I cannot find another size 8. Sad!!! I hope my brown ones last longer.

My original leather butter flops were the best. You could dress them up or down and were super comfy.And they outlasted any other flops as long as they didnt get wet to often. The new ones are way to narrow and just seem cheaply made.

About 10 years ago as a junior and senior in highschool this was THE flip flop to have! My closest five friends and i all had them in both black and brown. We didn't wear anything else. They were the most comfortable and cute flip flop that could literally be worn everyday. They could get wet and still seem to last forever! The squarer toe was by far what made them different and cuter than most other flip flops.Now fast forward to now....what happened?Why change a perfect thing? Two things that were changed ruined this flip flop.First , these need to be real leather. When they changed that they lost the durability, long wear and rich real leather feel and color.Second, the rounded toe ?? ...why??? The single most cutest flip flop is now just mehh?? i don't understand why this was changed or how it bettered it. I was so excited to stumble upon these again and remember how great these used to be.

I have worn the Reef cushion flip flop since it first came out, it has been my favorite summer shoe for years. I purchased these thinking the design was the same however the shoe is much more narrow now and was not wide enough across the toe. I tried going up a size and it was still too narrow. So disappointed and had to return

You cant see any ratings other than the one good vs poor shown on the page because nothing allows it. It doesn't work!

Turned the best shoe from this company that Ive been wearing for 20 years into a VEGAN shoe? Way to ruin it. Now I can't purchase or wear these...the colors are HORRIBLE (baby diarrhea anyone?) and the shoe looks cheap and shoddy. I can no longer wear this style to work or look professional. IM SO DISAPPOINTED.

The straps towards the back of the sandal make them very uncomfortable to wear.

I purchased four pairs of these reef cushion flip flops back in 2000. Ones in size 10s and the others in size 11s. I still have the size 11s . Oh, in black and brown colors. I love these flip flops, but the new ones I purchased was too small and hard on my feet. I am sadden I can't keep the new ones. P.S. I know they are a hot mess, but I love them.
