I LOVE this bag. The leather is soft, buttery and supple but the bag still stands on its "feet". It won't flop or fall over. The color "putty" is almost like a dirty white / soft gray color. The hardware on this is gunmetal gray. I love the feel and look of this bag so much that I' m thinking about ordering it in other colors - despite the higher price tag. This bag is beautiful and worth every single penny. It is also the perfect size to hold iPad mini, datebook, phones, small bag of makeup etc. love. It. So. Much!

Beautiful and versatile in Grey and the perfect size. Not big enough to get heavy, but will definitely hold your essentials. It is nubuck leather not pebbled leather which makes me a little worried about staining or spotting. But it is a lovely buttery matte leather: )The side pockets are too small for a phone but they do hold lip gloss, keys, or other small items. A phone fits perfectly in the magnetic slip pocket in the back. Looks cute as a backpack or just slung over one shoulder. The straps have plenty of length for a adjustments. Very happy with it, I've been using it as my go-to purse since it arrived.

Looked at alot of this type of backpack and this was exactly what i was looking for. The leather is soft but super quality. This size perfect if want something on the smaller side but still holds alot..full size wallet, glasses case, small makeup bag, keys. There is a pocket in the back perfect for cell phone. The side pockets are good for smaller items as not very large. I have received alot of compliments already and have just been using it for a week. Its comfortable to wear off the shoulder with the thinner straps as well as a backpack. This also comes with the dustbag and extra tassels. So happy I purchased this!

Originally I wanted scarlet Red color. But they didn't have the color. So I decided order this color. I actually LOVE this color and this back pack is so stylish so easy to carry around.

I ordered this bag in dark cherry nubuck, and the color was absolutely beautiful. I love the look of the bag, and the materials are high quality. However, this bag was far too small for my frame and would be best suited for a small frame. Sadly, this will be going back, and I will be ordering the larger version. Too bad this color isn’t available in the larger size.

This bag is awesome. I ordered it for a weekend getaway to the city with the family and it was perfect. I was concerned that the size might be too small but I was surprised at how much fit inside - my large wallet, sunglasses case, small makeup bag, hand sanitizer, iPhone charging cable, pens, lip glosses, keys, snacks, fidget spinner, etc. Side pockets were perfect for a small bag of tissues and small snacks for the kids. Best of all it was great being hands-free which is very helpful when out with the kids. I decided I needed this last minute and ordered it a bit after the cut-off time for next day shipping, hoping I would still get it the next day. I was very pleased that it still came the following day and I was able to take it on my trip. Thank you Zappos, you rule :)

I think I was shipped a wrong-size backpack because it's tiny, and if you check its measurements on RM's official site, it should be labeled as a mini Julian, not a medium. The tag on mine says Julian medium but the measurements indicate that it is a small. Regardless what the label says, the backpack it's very very small and looks ridiculous on an adult. Hardware is very shiny too, looks cheap.

I love this bag so much, i have it in 3 colors. It’s so cute and edgy. Fits my style perfectly. It can be dresses up or down and I love the way it hangs when I wear it with one strap slung over my shoulder. The leather is so so soft and slouchy. Can’t say enough good things about this bag!

This bag is perfect for little trips out. I can carry hand sanitizer, phone, wallet, keys, glasses and a small snack/bottle of water. The color mink is beautiful and the gold hardware brings it all together.

I originally bought a smaller rebekah minkoff backpack and it accidentally got delivered without the backpack straps so I called customer service and talked to someone who was extremely helpful and sympathetic to the situation and shipped me this one instead . Great customer service from zappos , I will be shopping from you guys much more . Also the backpack is great not to big not to small and great quality .

Too cute and holds all the essentials!

This is a perfect small bag - that plays big by holding a good amount in a well-balanced way. It is beautifully put together. I love that you can unhook the clasp to open the main compartment wide to access everything. I do want to purchase the larger size for those times when I want to carry more, but this keeps the essentials safe and close at hand without making you vulnerable to someone getting into your backpack or reaching in a pocket. It would be very hard for anyone to get into this bag without your knowledge, while wearing it. So cute, so practical - what more could you ask for? Thanks!

This is the best size backpack, I use it everyday and love it! There are a few pockets but not too many, the straps are comfortable and easily adjustable! I wish I had it in all the colors!

I LOVE this bag! It's so cute and the color is lovely. The size is just enough to carry my things (wallet, sunglasses case, headphones, lotion) and still has room. It fits on my bag really nicely and doesn't slide off my shoulders or dig into my shoulders. I really can't say enough nice things about it. I actually bought the bigger one also and I never buy two of the same bag.

I love this bag so much it's scary! The size seems like it's too small but it fits just ENOUGH. The big one was just a touch too big. This one is just so cute. I get so many compliments on it. Right now I have my iPad mini, my phone, my wristlet wallet, and sunglasses case.

My favorite carryall. Holds tons of stuff, and strangers seep stopping me to ask where to buy it.

I exchanged my original purchase of the Octavio Blue for the Silver/Pewter color which made me like the medium julian backpack a lot more given the pop of color. As in the other reviews, the medium Julian is perfect size if you just want a "small purse like" backpack, just enough room to hold cosmetic pack, large wallet, sunglass case and i'm able to use the side pockets to hold my keys if it's not stuffed to maximum. Also love the back drop pocket to store my cell phone in. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is I'd prefer the interior lining to be another color other than black so that we can see our items more easily.

Strange leather, bag is too stiff which makes the shape look awkward. This bag looks best when it's slouchy. The problem with the Julian for me is that the one that looks best is the mini (the way the center tassel hangs longer than the bag and the overall proportions), but that's also the hardest to get into. This is the goldilocks of the Julians... small enough to be "mini," large enough to carry all your stuff. This specific leather option, though- Not cute. Will be returning.

Beautiful leather and look. But, I didn't find this bag to be very functional. For example, my small iPhone would not fit in the small side pockets. The zippered area into the main bag is too small, making it very hard to access the bag. For the high price, I need a bag that is functional/practical as well as nice looking. I'm returning the bag and looking for something a little different.

So tiny, I actually had to check the label to make sure that they did not send me a small by mistake. Nope, its medium, and it is very very small. The photo on a model is misleading. Hardware is so shiny as well, very cheap looking. The rest of the backpack is fine, but really I think it is too pricey for its size.
