NICE STYLE, BUT THIS IS CLEARLY NOT A 4E SIZE. IT MIGHT BE A 1E WAY MORE NARROW THE MARKED.

WOW! I just bought these and tried them on. These are actually narrow. Put them on and they feel great. Most shoes called narrow always seem to be too wide for me. These are not that way and they feel wonderful. I haven't actually used them yet so can't comment on how they feel after a few hours of walking etc. I bought the brown. The color is not the same as shown (darker), but, I can live with that as long as they continue to feel so good. If they work out as I think they will, I will buy a pair in black. I will probably come back to this and add more as I see how good they are and I think they will work out well. Hope this helps anyone considering a purchase. BTW; I usually do not ever write a product review, but, was inspired to write this because so far I am so pleased with my purchase.

Ordered this in size 12N and found it to be too short, particularly for my left foot which is a bit bigger than my right foot. Otherwise, it fit fine and was comfortable.

These shoes fit my feet like gloves! Which, for me, is unusual. I have very wide, oddly shapen feet. I'm hoping these will last me a good while, as I have a problem with destroying shoes within weeks.

I bought two pairs, one in black and one in brown. I've been wearing them about three weeks alternating between colors and both are beautifully broken in. It's a first class shoe and I'm glad I bought it. I was extremely hesitant to order by mail because one foot is a size smaller than the other one. Wearing my previous shoes I developed an uncomfortable callous under the front padding of the foot so was doubly cautious. These shoes have excellent adjustability and high tech padding. They're waterproof, so sturdy & good for the serious daily walker and can be cleaned up easily for a well dressed casual look with Dockers type slacks. I ordered and paid from outside the US and made a special trip back. I called around but no local retailer in Miami had them in my size but Zappos did. I had really done my homework and this is the shoe I wanted above all the others I looked at on line. Thanks Zappos.

Just a bite too large. Wish they had a smaller size for me. Great shoe

Great shoe, really comfortable, looks like a well made shoe. I would love to keep it but I'm going to send it back for a smaller size. So glad Dunham is thinking of us guys with wider feet. Thank you Zappos for the variety of shoes and for your return policy.

More like a sneaker than the usual Dunham shoes I wear. They are comfortable on the foot, but a little clumsy to walk in. I am 82 .

The shoes are good looking and seem to be well made. When first putting them on, they felt tight, and I ordered a narrow size, but after wearing them awhile, they felt better and better as the day wore on.

Ordered the 2E for slightly wider left foot. The soles are somewhat rigid compared to my Skechers, but that's expected. Good quality, and of course, waterproof. No more mesh shoes for me!

Review for 9.5, 6E: Avoid this shoe if your foot truly requires 6E. These are too narrow so order a wider than normally ordered. The actual 6E size doesn't exist although I did find ONE pair that was okay. But with my 2nd pair too narrow, I changed models and wow how happy I am with the Windsor Waterproof which is plenty wide.

I have two pair of Dunham ankle high shoes of this same width, but these feel at least to degrees narrower than my previous shoes. They feel stiff and sturdy enough I have my doubts about them eventually stretching to fit.

Honestly, this was just the most nondescript shoe I could find in my size. It conforms more to what a shoe is "supposed" to look like than the shape of my giant feet, but it's too big in the extra places rather than too small, as some shoes I've owned in the past. It's not uncomfortable, but having the extra 1-2 cm in front of my toes in the middle seems like a waste. The insoles will probably need to be replaced with something better. Waterproofing is a plus given the climate I bike in, but the low ankle support means it's a bit moot since some water will get in if my rain pants don't consistently cover them, or I get spats.

I did not like how the shoe had scratches over it, making them look somewhat beat up. I can see them looking really bad in no time.

Felt tight at first ... because of my medication. That my legs swell and goes down then my feet swell then go down. My feet fit shoes good. But it need more width space, sometime my feet spread out flat in shoes.

Not as good as I wish your wide or the Chinese wide ??? and comfort In a perfect shoe Croc style toe box, cushion,arch support,6 e or better ?

These shoes are exactly what I wanted, but the width (I ordered 6E) was not wide enough for me. I have a bunion on one foot and is hard to get shoes that fit. Another walker sneaker/shoe from same brand was much wider and fit fine.

Extremely disappointed when the shoes arrived only to find the color of the shoes were nothing like the pictures. Ended up returning them.

stitching inside one shoe uncomfortable

Sizing is off. Its narrow in the forefoot or front part, while the heel is actually a little too wide. So when walking up a grade, my heel slides up and down inside the shoe. If I try to fix this by wearing a thicker sock, my toes and ball of foot gets squeezed and I eventually get pain up front. Too bad it seems like a well constructed shoe.

Dunham seems to only know how to make uncomfortable shoes. Stiff, no shock absorption and always the fit is fair to poor
