These Steve Madden Freedomm in Black are great looking, but a bit odd fitting/construction. The toe box is very long and narrow like a pointy dress shoe. There is no arch support or cushioning in the insole, and the footbed is very thin. I exchanged for a 1/2 size smaller than my usual and added a 3/4 length insole with arch support. Now they are wearable. Without that I could never wear them. They are still about 1/2 size too long, but it's too tight to go down a full size and still put in an arch support insole. It's a shame the comfort isn't as good as the looks, but I'm keeping them since I got them at a good sale price.

VERY uncomfortable. Looks pretty cool out of the box but having worn them around the house I can't imagine getting through an entire day in these shoes. Leather is fairly stiff and the footbed is non-existent. Pretty rare that I return a pair of kicks but these just didn't cut it.
