These boots looks amazing and are so comfortable, but after 2 weeks the leather started to rip away from the sole. I am so sad because they were my new favorite boots. Maybe I just got a lemon.

The boots were gorgeous but ran very small. I think a whole size. Too bad because I loved them.

I was looking for a wingtip, lace-up bootie that would fit my slim ankles. These could have been the ones, except that I was surprised by the flimsiness of the leather and laces. I do appreciate soft leather, but these shoes seemed like they would not last a month, even if I did plan to treat them with a high-quality protectant. The uppers are supple and flexible, but the laces are comprised of some cheap, waxy material that really detracted from the boot's appearance. Also, if you need any arch support, you will have to add inserts, as these se completely void of any structure or padding. I ordered different sizes of these (7.5 and 8) from two different shops, and both times the shoes arrived without any stuffing besides dirty tissue, and in a smashed-up box with no padding or extra cardboard. I expected more for the price of these. I almost never wear a 7, and I have a small bunion on one foot, and even the 7.5 seemed at least a half size too large. Too long, mostly. Sadly, I returned them even though the subtle and classy style were *exactly* what I was seeking. They even fit my slim ankles...

These are my favorite shoes I have ever owned! I usually eschew fashion for comfort, but I loved the look of these so much that I decided to go for it and I was so stoked when I found out that they're as comfortable as the Caspian sneakers, but so awesome looking!

Loved the fit, comfort, and style but the leather ripped away from the sole in a month. They're poorly made and not secured to the sole well enough. I wish I could get my money back because these were crap.

Very comfortable

Ordered the wine color boot. The leather was soft, supple and did not require a break in period. I have a wide foot and this boot fit like a glove. Unfortunately, the glove-like fit did not accommodate for my orthotic. The contrasting color lace give this well structured boot an edgy look. The laces could be a little longer, but not a deal breaker. (Could always replace in future). Despite that, these are my favorite all day wear shoes.

These boots are 'distressed', although this is not mentioned anywhere in the description. The box says 'washed'. They were out of stock in my size at Zappos, so I ordered a pair from another store. The ones that came were were so horribly distressed — all-over scuffing, toes badly creased, finish mostly gone, leather seemingly so thin and worn that it seemed fragile — that I sent them back. They came back in stock at Zappos, so I ordered a pair, hoping that there would be a range of 'distressed'. These new ones are OK, although dull, some creasing, and the heels and edges of the soles are badly scuffed. I wish that they weren't messed with at all, but these will do. True to size (38), wonderfully comfortable, and a coat of shoe polish helps.

The shoes are wonderful to wear but lousy made.After wearing them for a couple of weeks the sole on the right shoe came off .I had it fixed at my shoemaker and did so a few times after that -always another spot on the shoes.. So dear Josef Seibel company....focus on quality ---you do charge the price but it doesn't show on the quality.

These boots are truly very charming and look good on. I purchased these before they had any reviews, and in retrospect regret not returning them after noticing how flimsy they're constructed. The leather is very soft but way too thin for a daily boot. The soles on both shoes ripped away after about two months of wear. There is also very little cushioning and I had to get insoles to give my feet a break. The poor quality construction is such a shame, as these are cute booties.
