I wanted to hate these because they are so expensive. I ordered 4 similar pairs of boots, intending to keep only one pair...maybe two. Instead I kept three! These are the most expensive of the ones I ordered. (The others are Clarks Athie Terra and Spring Step Sem. I returned the Toms Desert Wedge.) The Hispanitas Lydia boots are the most comfortable. The different materials used for the uppers are subtly different--not in-your-face jumbled materials. On the black ones, at least, you really don't notice the combination of materials unless you take a close look. They seem to be comfortable enough that there won't be a major breaking-in period. The leather seems to be high quality. My only complaint is the price. Size-wise, I ordered the 36. I usually wear a 6 in boots because I want to be able to wear moderately thick socks. (I usually wear a 5 or 5.5 in dress shoes.) So I would say that you can safely order the size you usually take in boots.

the boots look awesome and stylish but unfortunately they are very hard and uncomfortable. The sole is very hard as well as the leather. Unfortunate for such a good looking boot and way too expensive.
