I am a big guy with a big head. There are very few Maui Jim's that fit me and this is one of them.

I bought these Maui sunglasses a month ago and I also have Rayban polarized. The MAUI CASTLES are my first choice due to clarity and blocking the sun. I am buying another pair of Maui Castle in different lens / frame!! Mahalo!

The glasses are nice and lightweight, however, I am finding them to be very fragile - they have slid off my face more than once - even after having the optometrist properly fit them. It was her recommendation that I should probably purchase another pair with a slightly smaller size lens. Saving up now to do that.

Ordered the Castles online with Matte Black frame and Neutral Grey lens. Overall look and feel is very good. I am very satisfied with this purchase. The Castles are a replacement for the Castaways that I returned (they let too much light between my eyebrow and the lens). The fit of the frame is excellent with the glasses feeling light and well balanced. My head is of average size which seems to match well with MJ glasses with a medium fit. The nose pieces are well designed to feel secure without pinching. The nose pieces were not adjusted symmetrically upon arrival but were easily straightened by hand. The temples are gloss finish acetate which makes otherwise premium glasses look a little cheap in my opinion (I'd prefer metal with acetate tips). The fit of the temples feels loose as the acetate is very flexible and the temple pieces are very straight however the glasses are somehow still secure on face despite this. The lenses are excellent in clarity and provide excellent coverage all round without feeling heavy or bulky. The 8 base curve gives noticeably better side coverage than similar size / shape aviators. We like: Tumbleland, Wassup, Makoa, Castles, Black Coral, Hot Sands Not so much: Castaway, Peahi, Whitehaven, Compass

Great sunglasses as always. I have had 6 MJ's and have got my wife 2. These were my first pair that I didn't love. I sent them back. Of course the lenses are great as always. I wanted to try the super thin glass and thought they were a nice medium weight with excellent clarity. The main thing is that they were too big for my medium head even though they are recommended for a medium head. They slid forward when I looked down. Also they seem quite flimsy. Also I was surprised that they did not come with a nice study case as MJ's usually do. If any sunglasses need a sturdy case these do.

Love the clarity and the look of the glasses . It's my first pair of Maui -Jim's and it won't be my last !!

The castle sunglasses were not available to try on at a local retailer to try on so I worked with customer service to find a pair of glasses that were closest in spec to a old pair I had that was broken and discontinued. The sunglasses are a little narrow for my head, but seem like good quality. I was disappointed when they arrived without a case. I recently had another pair of Maui Jim's repaired and they sent them back with 2 cases, so I was able to use one of those.

The look is superb. However, the lenses have too much glare with sun, so I cannot drive with them. Also the case was borken when it arrived.

The lenses chipped within a week. Extremely fragile.

I had bought the glasses a week ago, but I was not happywith the fit. So I have returned them for an exchange of frames
