fit but not easy to adjust

This hat fits pretty well, although a little snug even in the large/xtra large size. However, I had to return it because the reason I chose it was for the neck guard. My husband works outside in the sun a lot, just trying the hat on, the guard came unclipped several times. It is not practical to keep clipping the guard while you are busy working.

I had high hopes for this hat, as I needed it for my job as a roofer in SoCal in sun. It failed in some critical areas and needs a design refresh. The good: Materials and workmanship were top notch. The darker color didn't seem to affect its performance in the sun. The bad: Lower face coverage isn't great. Still got burned. Adjusting the face coverage using the brim clips is a clever feature yet leaves gaps near the temple that require odd manual adjustments. Adjusting the face coverage as far as possible still leaves parts exposed. Suggestions: Increase the size of the brim. Make sure brim clip adjustments don't create gaps near the temples, possibly by adding extra fabric there and in other areas to increase UV protective area. Ultimately, I am returning this, but it could be a fantastic option is these flaws are fixed the by the designers.
