Difficult to put on and the fit was too tight around the toes, sent back a few days ago

I can say I love this boot and hate in the same time, I had 5 pair of this Liverpool boot, same size same color, last pair purchased on end of 2021, just started wearing brand new pair less than a week, these pull strap just broken when I trying to put it on, what a surprised and terrible quality?? very disappointed, this kind of handcraft shoes should made for last.

Received a pair of 12E Walnut Liverpools for Christmas. Was in love with them for about a month, at which point I gave them their first polishing. Using only AE premium walnut polish, the look and color of the boots changed entirely. I returned them for refinishing, but they were instead replaced due to a quality issue with the counter leather. Wore the replacement pair for another month or so, til they got hit by a few stray water droplets and needed a touch up. The polish didn't cure the water stains, so I used the AE cleaner/cream. That didn't do it either, so I broke out the saddle soap. A light application took care of the spots, but killed the finish as well. I'm a long time military and western boot owner, with a full kit and plenty of maintenance skill, and have used every trick in the book trying to get these to look like they did on day one again. No luck so far, but I'll keep trying. Likely they'll end up at Goodwill though. My black Waltons are fantastic and still look brand new, but apparently AE's brown game isn't quite up to snuff. Back to Lucchese for me...

Honestly men, they're out of the box, (so I can admire them), but I have not tried them on yet! I'll let you know...

Recently bought beautiful Liverpool Chelsea. I already know if I find accurate AE size it will be most comfortable Chelsea from out of all other I owned. So my guess was good and these are just wearing for the first day I can easily tell very much comfortable and very nice quality out of the box, no break in period. That's the stuff comes from AE. Good job, Size suggestions if you know your accurate AE size which you mostly wear go half size up, you will be happy.

The look is classic and the fit is true. Delivery was also timely.

I wore a zipper version of Chelsea boots from Clarks and it is comfortable, however I caught the AE big since my first AE oxfords 5th Ave in dark chili I really had to add these as a replacement for the Clarks. The calf leather is plush and soft, the profile is sleek and elegant, a stable to any man's wardrobe.

Absolutely beautiful boots that came in pristine condition and wonderful packaging. I am over the moon with my purchase.

I've always appreciated the quality from Allen Edmonds and these boots totally met my expectations. Like any high-quality leather shoe, they do take a few days to break-in and fit your feet. After 4-5 wears, they become very comfortable as all-day boots around the office and on the street.

It's the perfect book. Makes you look great both in formal or casual clothes. The fit was good for me - I have a narrow foot so I got the same size I usually get and it was perfect. However, I sometimes feel on other shoes the D width is almost too wide, so the snugness of this boot in D width worked out for me. You may want to try a size wider. It's 100% worth it. You'll want to dance in these boots.

Was a little bit apprehensive ordering a 'B' with since I normally wear an 'A' width in dress shoes, but the elastic in the side panels hold the boot on just fine. They are comfortable and look great. I get lots of compliments.

They look good dressed up or dressed casual. Whether or not you're a fox hunt in VA or nyc still look hood.

This boot is a classic. I own all the available colors. Each pair is flawless.in comfort and appearance. I get compliments every time I wear them regardless of whether I dress them up or down. I haven't yet worn them with swim trunks or shorts, but I am considering it. I love these boots.

It took quite a few attempts and knocking down some walls to get these Walnut Liverpool Chelsea bootsit was worth it! I am extremely pleased with the comfort, fit, and quality of this boot. Not only am I happy with the boot, I am extremely pleased with people like (Allen) in the AE Customer Service Dept. It is people like Allen that keep people like me purchasing goods. I am extremely happy with this purchase! I wear a 9D, I ordered an 8.5E and these fit perfectlythis boot is made on a narrow last.

This is a great pair of boots. They are comfortable and very stylish to wear. Delivery was prompt and the product arrived in excellent condition. I would recommend these boots to a friend.

This boot strikes the right balance between rugged and refined. It's neither delicate nor clunky. It provides suitability for a wide range of venues without the wearer or observer thinking a compromise has been made to achieve versatility.

I bought these in black and brown in 2017, They have held up very well. So well, that I wanted to get replacements before they are no longer available. I now have four pairs; two pairs well-worn and still very wearable; and two brand new, perfect-fitting, first-quality pairs. They are beautiful, and extremely well-made of highest quality materials. They fit my narrow feet better than any store-bought shoes I have ever owned. I highly recommend them. My feet are also flat as pancakes. I just wish shoes were still made with arch supports as they were in the 1970's.

The boots arrived from a store in New York. The shipping time was much less than anticipated. I wore the bots inside around my home on day one and they felt very good. The third day ,after receiving the boots, I wore them for a short errand and the were so comfortable I wore them the remainder of the day! The boots fit well and provide great support for my flat feet. The boots have a very nice shine and wear well with slacks. I would highly recommend these as a purchase to add to your boot collection.

I've had the Liverpool in both black and tan for four years; both still worn regularly. I ordered another pair of each, both black and tan. The black are absolutely perfect in every respect. The tan pair, although labeled with the correct size of 10 B, were entirely too big. I returned them and will again, reorder size 10B and hope that what arrives, is as good as the black ones I just received. The tan shoes are worn much more than the black, so I need them the most. I have asked AE to make the Liverpool for me in cordovan or a darker brown, but always only a polite refusal. Too bad. I'd certainly buy them and I expect a whole bunch of other fellows would also. I always order full-retail price; never sale items. Great shoes! It's a privilege to have them.

I wear an 11D in most any other shoe, but take a 10.5 x 3EE in AE shoes and that is exactly what I ordered with this boot and it fits like it was custom made for me. Flawless. Beautifully crafted. Very pleased.

These boots are both high quality and high style. Pair well with anything from suits to jeans. Very classy appearance, compliments abound. Stay true to your size when purchasing. They are slightly narrow due to their shape but you must wear them to break them in. I wear size 12 D universally with all AE and I was hesitant at first and thought about getting a size E width. Glad that I stayed true to form. Once broken in, these become extremely comfortable.
