I bought these shoes on a whim for my husband for his birthday. I have worn Asics and they never disappoint. The style is very hip and I thought they would look great with a variety of outfits. It's been three weeks now and he wears them all the time. He said they are the most comfortable everyday shoes he has ever had, he loves the style, and they required no break-in period - they were comfortable and supportive from day one. I will definitely be buying these for him again!

It is hard to find good plain shoes these days, but I had to buy these and send them back twice because they did not fit. It turns out they are basically a size bigger than what I am used to, so I ended up with a 10 when I am used to wearing an 11. My ego will survive, don't you worry about me. I just want to make sure it does not happen to you, because even though Zappos makes returning things easy, it is still annoying and wasteful. What I look for in shoes, is something really plain and simple, that also gives you some basic options. What if you wanted to run for a second? Or play a pickup game of basketball with some random hoodlums you met in the street? Or hike? And these shoes fit that bill pretty well. Why people used to run in these back in the 70's like it was a normal thing to do. or so I hear. anyway the point is, this review is already way too long, and I cannot believe that I sat here and did this. Enjoy your shoes. Do not worry too much, they are just shoes, and you should just buy these and spend the rest of your time on something more important.

Love them. Bought them for work. Loved them as soon as I broke them in with my wide feet. Many compliments on them as well. I just put in insoles to help my arch and heels.

Great shoes, fit is very true to size. Arch support is very firm. My pair came with 3 pairs of laces (black, grey, white) which was an added perk.

I am required to wear all black shoes for work and these work out just fine. They are a little flat but most days this isn't a problem. I'm sure adding an insert would help.

Great locking shoe. Well made. Fits true to size. It's a little high in the arch for me. So not totally comfortable for a long day of walking. But looks great. I would buy again.

I was very happy with this purchase, I frequent the Asics brand and was satisfied as usual with the fit and look. These aren't running shoes or anything, but the support is enough for me for around town and teaching hip hop classes.

Love this shoe. I don't actually wear these sneakers to work out. They're more my casual, bum around town shoes, so I can't speak to actually doing something athletic in them. The red stripe is the perfect pop of color, though. Very happy with my purchase.

These shoes are great. They run slightly wider than most shoes, but most Asics shoes do anyways. Which is perfect for me since I have wide feet. They are comfortable and stylish. They come with an extra set of laces, which is nice. Overall, I highly recommend these shoes and Asics in general.

I really love these old school Asics. They are comfortable and nice looking.I got a compliment the first time I wore them. They come with 2 different colors of shoe strings. I plan on purchasing some more of these shoes in different colors. I highly recommend these.

These shoes are really stylish and are durable for casual use. I normally wear a size 13 in casual and dress shoes and a 14 in running shoes. A 13 in these shoes is a tad too long, but overall it is a very good fit.

These are the most comfortable shoes that I currently have. I like the heel, my feet do not slip out. I appreciated that black laces where included too, but I love the red ones.

This is my third pair. They are comfortable. I used to buy Addidas or Saucony sneakers but they did not feel as comfortable as the Onitsuka Tigers.

I ordered these for my daughters school uniform shoes, as it is rare to find straight blaclk or navy shoes that look nice. These are perfect! She loves them and says they are super comfortable! They go nicely with her pleated skirts and are very cool! I like to buy shoes that are unique! I definitely will buy these again! We kept the women's size 6 as the 6½ was a little too big. They are true to size.

Great shoe. Very comfortable, but not a huge amount of support. If you have foot problems (like me), be sure to add a pair of orthotics to them and you will absolutely love them. Very lightweight, and is cool in hot weather. Love this shoe.

This is a great shoe and always has awesome color schemes available to express your personality the way you want. I'm on probably my 5th pair of these things, varying colors of course, and have gotten complimented on them regularly. I've browsed for other shoes but always come back to the Tiger. I love the way they hug my feet. Current style: Grey/Charcoal (+ yellow).

I've been searching for a nice retro shoe for awhile now , and ordered many , but all have been to narrow. My feet are not extra wide or anything , but most med width shoes are to narrow. But these shoes fit wonderfully. I will give an update after a week or two of bar tending.

I have really hard to fit feet with nasty ugly bunions and these are the only shoes I have ever had that give my feet absolutely no problems whatsoever. This is my second pair of these shoes and I plan to continue buying them. I also get lots of compliments on how awesome they look with the gold stripes!

The fit is great. The shoe has a decent arch support. I bought these to walk around Europe for 2 weeks, so look and comfort is very important. Overall very happy and excited.

At various times over the last several years I have ordered 5 pairs of these for my son, who worked first as a waiter, then a bartender (his shoes need to be black). He is on his feet for long shifts and these are the only shoe he wants to wear. They are lightweight, comfortable and last much longer than anything else he has tried. Was looking for a sleek pair of dark sneakers, and these Onitsuka/Asics 81's are perfect. Very comfortable, decent arch support for a pair of classics/throwbacks, and the red laces really pop. There was a pair of white laces in the box if you want to go that route, too. 5 stars all around, can't recommend them enough.

These were purchased as a gift, more for casual wear than for a sport. They were a big hit. Recipient was amazed and delighted how lightweight and comfortable they are. Look good, too. Could be more supportive in arch than my guess. Fast shipping.

Excellent shoe! I've owned several pairs over the years and they have never failed me. Exclusive! Black/Coals are my work shoes. 40 hours a week!

So far these shoes have worked great. I have wide feet and they can accommodate them and they look good.
