These boots are waterproof and are built to be hearty winter boots, not fashion show stoppers (three stars for style). I'm a woman that wears a men's 8 and probably should've purchased a 8 1/2, as they feel a bit short over many hours. The toe box is wide and comfortable. I bought these for myself as I wanted something utilitarian, and they are not super girly like the women's boots. I prefer the zipper as I didn't want to bother with snow and slush getting on any laces, or the laces coming undone. These are semi slip-on, but stay on better than slip-ons due to the zippers. The zippers are VERY stiff when first purchased, but they will loosen a bit in the first few weeks. Three starts for comfort because my feet began to hurt a bit after wearing them for about four hours. They are comfortable for less than four hours. Comfortable for shoveling, not walking around for hours on end while holiday shopping. I am not accustom to wearing boots so it is an adjustment as to how they hit the back of my calf. The boot shaft is VERY rigid and can make my calf sore (after hours of wear). I am not sure the rigid shaft will become flexible over time; perhaps I need to toughen up my calf muscles. This review might sound like a lot of cons, but I would still recommend these boots for the money.

I just ordered these and received them last week. I wore them for the first and last time today. They are literally the worst boots I have ever had. As others have noted the zippers will not stay up. I had to bend over about every 20 yards to zip up again while I had my dog out on a walk. It isn't like you can just keep walking either since when the zipper is down the boots slide ride off your feet. I honestly don't know how any person is giving these a positive review, they must just be standing still while wearing them or something cause a boot that won't stay secure on your foot while moving just doesn't offer much utility. If you are reading the reviews and think "well a couple people said the zippers won't stay up but other people liked them" just don't go that route and try to convince yourself they may work for you, they won't.

The zippers. It has to be said again- total design flaw. When out in the snow, and you flex your ankle and then all of a sudden the zipper is down and all of the snow is IN your boot, that just doesn't work. We (my son and I) are extremely disappointed.

The zippers on both boots will not stay up, as many other reviewers have mentioned. I put them on and walked around the inside of my house, and within moments both zippers dropped 1/4".. I don't feel the zippers are durable enough to sustain the long haul of winter! I am returning the boots.

Boots feel small and are not warm below 40 or so.

Bought these for my 12 yr old son. They are exactly what we were looking for. Wore them to a cold and wet college football game. His feet were dry and warm in 40 degree weather. These have good treads and the inner lining is comfortable and warm. Highly recommend to others.

These Kamik Champlain 2 (black) boots were a disappointment. The insole on one of them was crumpled up at the toe (which, if I had liked them in other regards, I could have just exchanged for a non-damaged pair, but...) The are not very attractive. The leather uppers are actually black suede instead of smooth leather, which is hard to waterproof and will not keep it's looks very well They ran large, so felt clunky in all regards, compared to the other boots I've tried. The zipper I didn't have problems with like others have said, though I just wore them around the apartment for a few minutes, but the zippers stayed up. For this type of boot, the North Face Chilkat III slip-on is a much nicer boot (though it too has suede uppers). Also, Keen Anchorage III for a low boot and the all-amazing Red Wing "Irish Setter" in a high boot

Fit and feel fantastic. Excellent pair of boots. Very well padded and keep my feet warm. Don’t know what all the fuss is about the zipper..haven’t had a problem with it. Very happy with my purchase and would buy again.

Comfortable, so easy to step into.

I should have listened more to previous reviews...I would love this boot in every respect (good fit, comfortable, warm) but I have learned in this first several days of use that after just a 100 yards or so of walking, the zippers work down (unzipping) letting snow inside if there is any loose snow...disappointing

I bought these for my husband who shovels the snow often, in temperature of -20 degrees. He bought another pair of boots of this brand last year, but complained that those boots didn't keep him warm enough. My hubby's explanation was that those soles are not thick enough to keep him warm, but these books seem to have equally thin soles so he was not optimistic when we took the boots out of the box. These boots claim to keep you warm in -40 degrees. We haven't tested under that cold of temperature yet, but he seems happy with the performance so far, which is a lot better than his expectations. He has worn it a couple of times in -20 degrees, and didn't feel cold at all. The zippers were fine when he wore them shoveling the snow, which took about 1 hour each time. Overall, my hubby said these boots are very comfortable. He likes the zippers better than laces cuz he didn't like tying the laces each time. Zappos' service is always 5 star.

THE boots fit fine

I got these boots for walking my dogs in the winter. I love them, easy on and off and very warm.

These boots are exactly what I was looking for. A warm winter boot that is easy to get on and off.

Shoes for my father are easy to take on and off and are comfortable and warm. My dad likes the zip and the warmth they provide.

Finally a pair of boots my husband could easily pull on and get outside quickly. Thanks to the top zipper !

These are true to size, I ordered up rather than down. Should’ve ordered down. I would’ve kept these if they’d fit. It kinda seems too padded at the top, the padding gets thicker at the top 2” which feels stiff to me. Made for bony legs I guess. I’m a woman who wanted a wider boot to fit thicker socks into.

Very happy with this purchase. Keeps feet warm and dry when working outside in snow. Only complaint is the zipper can slide down on occasion but doesn't happen all the time.

Had a pair of these boots for many years. It was time for a new pair and I was able to find the exact boot. As I really liked the first pair I had no issues with ordering another pair.

Bought size 10, sent back and got an 11. Now they fit like a glove.

The size was spot on and it is durable and waterproof. The only down side was that the zippers don't stay zipped and snow tends to get in the gaping front part of the shoe. But they are comfortable and easy to pack.

Unless you have feet that are a double E width, consider a different boot. These were supposed to be a D width. I can't wear a heavy enough sock to make them fit, width-wise.
