I was a bit hesitant to buy these, since there were no reviews yet, but because of Zappos' return policy, I thought it was worth taking the risk. I'm very glad I did! I love these boots! They are very sleek, classic, and well-made. This is a style you can dress up or dress down. I am a runner and my calves are average size but muscular, and I had about an extra inch of room at the top, which was what I wanted. I have short legs as well, and they came up to about an inch below my knee. I normally wear a size 6, and found these very true to size; I tried them on with a pair of standard thickness socks, and they were fine. Wearing heavy socks would have been a bit tight. Since the ankle area fit me closely, I plan on wearing only skinny jeans/leggings tucked inside. It is still summer here, so I haven't been able to try them out properly, but they are very comfortable, and there is some cushion on the footbed as well. Much more comfortable than other boots/booties I already own.

Love these! I have trouble finding boots that fit my athletic calves (I'm not big enough for wide-calf, but too big for most normal boots). These fit perfectly and I wear them with everything.

I can't say enough good things about these boots! I literally get several compliments every time I wear them and that is almost daily! They are EXCEPTIONALLY comfortable, mega stylish, and really make my outfits POP. They go with so many different things that I wear as the color is perfect. They can be casual or really dress up an outfit. These are my favorite buy of the season. I had to buy a second pair in another color.

I liked this boot even though I wasn't a big fan of the gold buckle, it looked a little cheap. The shoe size is spot on, but these were huge around my calf and ankle. My calf is somewhat narrow, but these were quite large. If you have larger calves this is the boot for you.

At 4"11 I always wanted to try high boots, but never thought I could pull it off. These boots were great, the shaft height was perfect and what I was looking for. I am normally a size 4.5, but the smallest size available was 5. They are a little roomy, but workable.

I am enjoying these even though the weather is now warm. I tried them on and wore them on a cooler June day and they were great.

I have a narrow heel. My heel lifts when I walk. The boot does not hold my heel stable.

Love these boots! I got them 1/2 size up from my normal size so I can wear them with thicker socks. I get compliments on them every time I wear them!

These boots are gorgeous and I almost kept them. I got the dark brown and the color is perfect. I have another pair of Lauren boots I've had for 10 years and they still look great. I am returning because I don't like how wide they are at the calf. Rather than a straight-ish line coming up from the heel, they bow out, maybe to accommodate people with wider calves. If you need that, these boots are for you. They are really beautiful, but I didn't like that aspect. I just ordered a different pair of Ralph Laurens to try instead.

Boots are true to size and fit well over skinny jeans and under boot cuts. I've owned mine for about a year and they have stayed in great shape.

Even though I put in my calf size when searching for boots these boots were way too wide at the calf. I am athletic which makes buying knee length boots difficult.

Love these boots! I have a similar pair of ankle boots and was on the fence ordering these. So glad I did, they are wonderful and go with just about anything. Can't wait to order them in black too!!

I had similar Ralph Lauren boots in brown and decided I would splurge and get them in black. 'Glad I did. They are comfortable - even for my 2 mile+ walks. I have medium calves; these fit just fine. The leather is soft and pliable but doesn't seem to scuff easily. I live in Westchester NY where spring has been slow in coming in 2017. These boots have kept me warm and cozy in the cool and windy weather.

These boots are beautiful in design, leather quality and comfort. My usual size 7 fit perfectly including my painful bunion. The calf size was not for someone with thin legs. Or at least not mine. I hated to do it but reluctantly returned them.

A bit more than I wanted to spend, but worth it. Well made, quality zipper and comfortable. This is a classic riding boot that won't go out of style - happy with my purchase and of course Zappos service is the BEST.

I love these boots! Bought the black one to wear with leggigs and they were so somfortable and stylish, I bough another pair in brown!

Love these boots. I put them on the first time and wore them the entire day. It was exactly what I was looking for.

I purchased these boots in a size 9 for my 15 year old daughter. I looked at several pairs over the past few weeks but these seemed to fit the bill. Not to flashy with lots of hardware but enough detail to look classy. I had a discount code and a $30 coupon from Zappos so they were less than $90. Hard to argue with that deal! When they arrived, my daughter immediately tried them on with normal crew socks/sport socks. She said the boots were really comfortable and fit well. She's a runner and her calves are muscular but lean. There was room around the top and I personally wished the boots had a slightly narrower shaft but she liked them. This a sleek boot and seems to be well made. She hasn't worn them out yet because they are a Christmas present. However, they looked and felt great when she tried them on a took a lap around the house.

Never will go wrong with RL. This brand is always fits right.
