Very comfortable fitting boot, but even in Alaska during the summer months this boot is warm to wear. I have worn these boots for 34 weeks now and one of the soles has split vertically across the width directly beneath the ball of my foot. Seams are also separating due to the thread wearing thin. I will be contacting Danner about these issues and to stress my disappointment with the quality. I can say that out of all the composite toe boots I have worn, these were the most comfortable.

I ordered these boots along with the Bates GX-8 Gore-tex Side zip. Was looking for a new boot for working as an EMT. Overall, I ended up choosing these boots over the Bates. I found the Danner boots to fit much better, look more professional, and have a sturdier toe. Pros: Very professional look being all leather. The leather also seemed of high quality and took a shine well I have a very wide foot (8EEE), and found the 8.5EE to fit great! Very sturdy composite toe Loved the stretchy bungie laces Meets all my needs as an EMT Cons: No closure on the zipper to keep the zipper up as I've seen in other boots These might be a little too warm in the summer months There's a big, white patch/button on the tongue of the shoe that looks bad. Fortunately my pants cover this up

They did take 3 weeks to break in and I needed some mole skin to help me through that duration. But the break in period was totally worth it. I wear them a LOT. I have 2 jobs and can wear them for17+ hours a day without fatigue. They're super comfy and durable.

I wear these everyday in a warehouse setting and done a 8.5m 850' elevation, winter hike. I absolutely love'em. They've held up, are comfortable and still look good. I have a bad back and lousy ankle. These provide the additional support I need.... Truth be told, it took 3 weeks to break them in and earn their respect. Left Boot, bottom left eye hole, really dug in to the top of my foot. I used mole skin and thick sock, that did the trick.

My fiance really likes these boots. He's a C.O. and they are exactly what he was looking for.

These boots are expensive but they appear to be well built, They are comfortable and supportive out of the box. I love the zipper option making them very easy to get on and off quickly. All black and not a lot of seams makes them a great all around professional looking shoe for my job.
