After trying five pairs of work boots at the beginning of winter I settled on the Danner Vicious 8" NMT Insulated boot. I have worn all three styles of the Vicious they all fit different. My foot measures 10.5 and is a little more narrow than a D width. The plain toe I wear size 11 and the width feels good. The non insulated NMT fits true to size but it was a little wide on my foot and too cold for work in a non heated warehouse and while making deliveries during a Michigan winter. The 8" 10.5 insulated NMT fits perfect. I have worn this boot for the last month. It is light weight, warm, stable, has good cushion, and the sole works good on multiple surfaces. The only thing I would recommend to Danner would be a rubber toe cap, a more supportive insole, and locking lace hooks.

Love these boots! True to size!

Boot's toes are covered with material that does not stand up to normal work conditions. Wore to site 5 days and boots look like their 10 years old, "leather" is all torn from just climbing in and out of a tracksteer loader. Toe should have been covered with rubber as it would have made these boots much tougher than they are. I'm returning them because of this issue, have bought other Danner boots that lasted over 5 years with no problem. These are nowhere near as well made as the previous pairs

Don't waste your time. I bought this boot thinking it would be a quality product considering it came from Danner, out of the box the boot looks and feels like it should be on a Wal-Mart shelf for $49.95. poor materials, poor construction not at all what I expected for a $200+ boot. I returned them immediately.
