Really cute booties! Unfortunately, previous reviewers accurately stated that the "for appearances only" zipper get-up is very uncomfortable on the inside of the shoe. One might somehow glue the material down to keep the folder suede from rubbing, but to me it was not worth the work and uncertainty of a suitable outcome.

Absolutely should have believed the review about the zippers on these shoes. They are IMPOSSIBLE to unzip. Even if I could have forced them to open, I wouldn't have kept as it would be a fight every time I put them on or took them off. No idea how the shoe fit as neither my husband or I could get the zippers down for me to try the shoes on.

I feel these shoes look boxy and a little like masculine workboots. Additionally the fit is strange. The instep sags down when I stand, the heel doesn't feel like it comes up far enough and the inside zipper that doesn't function digs into my ankle to where my foot started falling asleep. The inside cover for the zipper is poorly designed, far too bulky. My foot is on the narrow side and often shoes are too wide in the heel but these are tight in the heel yet the front of my foot swims around. I wanted something casual for jeans, neat for work and comfortable for working with kids. I might could put up with the less than perfect fit but even after the 10% off & my $10 reward these aren't worth anywhere near the cost and are going back!

I could have used a 9 but they were out so I stayed with the 8.5, as long as I wear thin socks they fit. They look great and are easy on and off. I have a high arch and it is a little snug but not cutting or uncomfortable for all day wear. I would buy again in another color.

The boot felt floppy on my foot. I am a wide but it was just loose all around.

These were cute boots, but too wide for me and not much arch support. Had to return them. They seemed nicely made and the leather felt good.

These shoes were exactly what I wanted, casual for everyday wear with jeans. I am a size 7 in almost all shoes, but ordered a 7.5 in this shoe for winter socks. They are just right. If you don't want to wear thick socks then I would order your normal size/width.

I am usually a true size 8, sometimes even an 8 1/2 or 8 wide and the regular 8 fit perfectly. I'm glad I didn't do the wide as the regular had plenty of width. Very comfortable and cute. Love them!

Currently awaiting my 3rd pair of this bootie in the Chestnut brown. I first bought the black a few weeks ago, loved the fit, comfort and looks so much I ordered it in grey. As another reviewer commented, and I agree that it really is the “perfect bootie”, at least for me! I am delighted with this boot for these reasons: it’s a low profile boot, does not chafe the front of my ankle, low, but not flat heel, soft/smooth leather, colors are beautiful, footbed is so supportive i’m not having to use my Powerstep orthotic inserts until I need to replace original Hushpuppy footbed, it is an unadorned classic short boot, with quality construction. Always remember that a well made, shoe/boot that fits your foot NEVER has to be “broken in”. I always read reviews on items I’m interested in and inevitably run across that term so just wanted to say my 2 cents worth. Never having worn booties before I am glad I found the perfect one in my first selection. Kudos to Hush Puppies, and thanks to Zappos for sale price on the Chestnut color!

I thought I found the perfect little boot. I loved the style, color and quality. I normally wear a 9 1/2 wide to extra wide. This was my first time trying Hush Puppies. I read the previous reviews and decided to give this brand a try. I decided, based on previous reviews, to order a size 10 wide. The length was right but this was not a wide boot. This boot fits a very narrow foot, even in the extended width. They are a darling boot, but not for those of us with a wider foot.

This is an update to my original review. I was initially pretty happy with the shoe as it worked with my orthodic and was comfortable. However, after wearing it for a day - just walking around, the entire front of one of the shoes is all scraped up and now non wearable. For $99, I expected better quality then for them to last one day.

I’m leaving the size and width as true to size, but these boots were snug. Since most of my shoes are either 9.5W or 9.5WW, depending on size, I’m giving the 9.5W boots I ordered the benefit of a doubt. Felt comfy as far as the sole, though, so I’m going to see if they have 9.5WW and reorder if possible. Really cute.

I ordered size 6.5 which way way too big I returned that pair for size 6 which were too tight So sad, loved the look

I bought these shoes as I needed a pair of winter shoes that I could use with my orthodics. They are not the prettiest but they are very comfortable and work with my orthodic. My only complaint is that the zipper on on the inside of the foot is fake. You can only put the shoe on my zippering the outside zippers. Just annoying as I keep trying to unzip the wrong one.

Read the reviews and ordered 1/2 size up that did not work for me it was huge granted I got the Wide but it was at least 1/2 size too long for me! Returning and reordering hoping for a good fit cause these are cute!

I like the way the shoe looks; the zippers on each side are cute. One side unzips to allow flexibility when putting the shoe on. I’m 5’10 and wear a size 11B. The shoe felt true to size for me and did not feel too snug. I can definitely wear a thick pair of socks with them when it’s colder weather. The arch support is moderate. The balls of my feet did start to hurt/ache after wearing them a few hours. They pair great with tights and jeans.
