My 5 (almost 6-yrs old) son can wear a size 1 right now but we bought both the 13 and 1 since reviews stated they run large, and the 13 fit perfectly. He loves the style and the lights and says they're comfortable. After he put them on he proceeded to jump around the house to make them light up.

My son loves these boots! The best part is that they light up and glow in the dark. He has wanted to wear them every chance he gets.

This is the second pair of Western Chief Kids Lighted Rain Boots I have purchased for my son (he outgrew the first pair). He loves them! He says they're comfortable and he LOVES that they light up! Not just for rainy days around here ;)

The fit for my 6 year old was a full size too big. He wears a 13 /1 so I ordered a 1 to be able to use with thick socks . Had to return and Zappos was great with sending me a different size overnight. My son loves these and the soles light up so there’s a lot of excitement there . The quality of these are great except for the smell of plastic which wears off after a few days .

My 5yo is loving his new boots. Perfect to splashing and mayhem with his sister. They seem to fit well and appear well made. The lights are his favorite part, obviously.

I bought these for my 4 yr old grandson who loves dinosaurs and the flashing lights on the boot. He is very happy. They’re very cute. I saw this comment on another review and I agree the plastic on the boots has a strong odor. At least for me it did. So airing them was a help. Certainly worth it to see him so thrilled.

These are awesome boots my grandson loves them they fit perfectly he wears a tan but I got an 11 and they fit fine he doesn’t trip or anything I would suggest whatever size they wear go a size up so they last longer

The only deterrent was the strong smell of the plastic/material. After leaving them outside of the box overnight, the smell was still very strong; while it may not be harmful, i am uncomfortable in putting them on my toddler.

Western Chief rain boots never disappoint! What kid doesn’t love fun boots that light up?! My son outgrew his shark boots so he now has the Dino boots. Quality and adorable!

My 6 year old likes the boots but they are a bit heavy for his legs.

Boots seemed to be sturdy, kids love the light up heel effect. It’s a win win.

My almost 4 year old son is VERY excited to wear these to preschool. I didn’t realize that they light up with MULTIPLE different colors — green, red, yellow, and blue! Only in the heel but so cool. I wish they made them in adult sizes ?

These boots are very cute. My grandson loves them and wears them everywhere.

They are a gift so I am pleased that they are very nice looking and well made.

We just got these, so I can't speak to if they hold up long term, but my 4 year old son LOVES them! Dinos and lightup!? You can't go wrong.

I bought these for $6 on Walmart during a clearance boot sale, so seeing them full price makes me wonder if I would have had a harsher review. Cheaper things are going to get better reviews. The boots been very durable, and both if my kids like the ease with which they can slip them on and off. I didn't buy them because they were pretty or because I thought they were gonna be awesome, I did so because they were $6 brand new. But they've held up quite well and been out through a lot. They stunk for a long time, had a rubbery chemical smell to them. That's the only complaint I suppose I could have.

My son (6) loves these. A little more light-up action than the Western Chief pair he had as a small toddler. The plastic is a little on the shiny side but that won't last long. We've only bought Western Chief rainboots the past 3 years.
