I first started wearing Smartwool socks about 18 years ago when they first came on the market. I had just finished a 10K run and they were promoting their running socks by offering to trade you a pair of their brand new socks for whatever you had on your feet. Up to that point, I had been wearing cotton running socks. NEVER MORE! I've been hooked on Smartwool ever since. In summer, I wear their mini cut lightweight runners and in winter their medium weight hike crew socks. I find most pairs last 2-3 seasons. My ultimate recommendation is that in one 17.5 hour day I walked/jogged 62 miles as a tribute to a friend who was battling health issues. I DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE BLISTER OR EVEN A "HOT SPOT" AT THE END OF THAT DAY!

I am a nurse, I work 10+ hours a day in these socks. I use the thinner socks in the summer and thicker for winter. We keep the temperature of our lab around 65 degrees year around. Smart wool socks keep my feet warm or cool and comfortable. I own probably 2 dozen pair. The only socks I wear, even with my Birkenstocks sandals all year around. My only problem, since I wear them everyday, has been that I wear a hole in the top where my big toe rubs my shoe. Solution: I learned to darn. I use wool yarn and once washed they are as good as new. I recommend these to all the nurses I work with. I also wear the tops and pants under my scrubs in the winter. They keep me warm in the cold lab and when I wear my lead vest and skirt for hours the wool wicks the sweat and keeps my scrubs dry. That makes it perfect when I take my lead off, I am not soaked in sweat in a cold lab. LOVE LOVE smartwool.

I have been using the Smartwool Men's Hike Medium Crew socks for over ten years. They have survived countless Boy Scout hikes and week long camps. They kept my feet comfortable hiking through Yellowstone and Grand Teton in 100 degree weather. Paired with a good pair of hiking books (I like Keen's) my feet stay comfortable all day. Plus they take a lot of abuse and keep on doing the job. Highly recommended.

I love these socks. They are my go to for hiking and during the winter. The added thickness keeps my feet cushioned and cozy. They are a bit warm for a hot summer day, but perfect for the rest of the year.

There are NO downsides to these socks - they're warm when it's cold, wicking and comfortable when it's not. Hubby has podiatric issues that cause a lot of fatigue and foot pain; the heavier socks REALLY help.

I bought these socks as I worked at a ski resort and people were talking about them and I had never heard of them. I needed a good pair of socks that would keep me warm when I was working outside but would also be comfortable to wear around the house. I am very happy with the pair of socks. They keep me warm at work all day and they are not as bulking as regular wool socks. I will be buying more.

I end up wearing Smartwool hiking socks almost exclusively in the winter. They're just so warm and cozy and they last for years. These are the first new socks I've bought from Smartwool in a few years and they live up to my expectations just like always.

I ware work boots during the week and smart wool keeps my feet fit.

I'm really pleased with these socks. I have a whole lot of Smartwool socks of different weights. These are a little stretchier than some of the others. The cushioning in the sole is positively luxurious and they are a weight to keep my feet comfy while wearing them around the house, on the town, or out on day hikes.

These are one of the most comfortable pair of socks I've had, I love smart wool!

I use these socks for hiking with a 20-25 pound pack. These socks help keep my feet very comfortable.

These socks are the best. Thick for comfortability but woth breathability that doesn't make my feet sweat bullets the way they do with regular socks. I even wear these socks in the summer!

The first pair of socks were a gift from our son, a Wildlife Law Enforcement Officer. He loves SmartWool for work in our damp, cool Pacific NW weather. I liked them so much I have been gradually getting rid of everything else. These are perfect! Thick but not bulky. Warm but breathable. My socks don't get so stinky because my feet get some airflow. I wear them everyday - even to the office. I'm picky about my socks but I finally found the perfect ones for me. A drawerful is not enough!

I received my first pair of smartwool socks as a gift for my birthday. BEST GIFT EVER!!! I bought more pairs so that I could wear them everyday. I love the comfort and I am thankful that I do not have to examine my socks for holes anymore like I used to. When I run in these, I do not get blisters!
