I am in process of exchanging sizes. I ordered a size 8, but it’s way to big. I’m ordering a size 7, I will update this review upon trying the 7. The boot is slick and gorgeous and good quality, it’s just a sizing issue I need corrected. Again called Zappos and customer service was top notch! Love you Zappos! I will continue shopping with you because you quickly ship items and gladly accept returns and make it hassle free!

This is a great boot but there is no way that my large calves are accommodated. The material is sound, the construction is durable, and the dark slate color is a fantastic alternative to black. But those of us with large calves can't do it. These are for people with skinny legs. Getting these off after managing to coax them on was super difficult and painful since my foot passed through the pre-formed shank. That means it's great for people whose calves fit - it will fit your feet comfortably, too.

These boots are super cute and comfy but they don't come with adjustable calf widths. If you have a wider calf, they probably will not fit you. I have to return because they are just too tight around the calf area to be comfortable. I wish they had different calf widths or adjustable straps (they don't adjust with the strap at the top of the boot).

Like the boot a lot - but something odd is going on with the side buckles. They don't seem to want to lay flat. What's up with that? They're basically decorative but they're "real" as far as needing to be buckled properly. Otherwise a fun color (blue) and comfy. Can't wait to splash around in them.

I liked the fun color and high quality of these boots. However, I felt they were too clunky and unsafe to drive in and play in the backyard with the kids in the rain. I decided to return them in the hopes of finding something waterproof but also more snug.

Order your true size. I sized down and they were too small. I do not understand why people are saying to do that. My issue with the boot is that the inner sole was too short on one boot. so there was about a 1/4 inch gap at the tip of my foot. They are glued down so they could not be lifted out and readjusted. the right boot was perfectly fine. I think they used a size 6 inner sole on the left boot??

These boots were so cute but that's where the appeal ends as they did not work for me. If you have skinny calves or even any sort of calf that is smaller than average, try the refined slim version of the boots instead as they should fit much better. These were flopping in the calf and leg portion so much that it was both uncomfortable and distracting (due to the noise the flopping made). Also, everyone else is correct in stating that these boots are very hard to take off. They are. In addition, the footbed is not decent enough if you have any sort of foot problems, in my case plantar fasciitis and low arch issues. I had to put my own footbed in and even then they were only okay.

Only issue I had was I ordered the gloss red boots and received the matte color. I wanted them for holiday photos, however didn’t have enough time to exchange.

These are beautiful looking boots, but as is true for other people who have calves greater than 14 inches in circumference, these were too narrow. In fact one I got them on, they formed a virtual vacuum seal around my calves and I had a lot of trouble getting them off. I was laughing pretty hard, since that is one thing that has never happened before, so that made it even more difficult. FYI, my right calf is just under 15 inches in circumference at the widest part. Also I suggest remembering that shoe manufacturers appear to measure the OUTSIDE circumference, which means that you should subtract about 1/2 to 1 inch to get the inside circumference (which is what actually matters to the wearer). Hunter does make rain boots that are adjustable at the back so if they are just a little bit small, try those. Instead, I am returning these and buying Pendleton national park waterproof rain boots that have a zipper at the back and are 16 inches in circumference. They are so easy to get on and off, are not tight, but are expensive ($150).

The calves are so tight. I don’t have big calves and have never had trouble with tall boots. I get that they’re rain boots but they were really uncomfortable- even for rain boots. For the price I had higher expectations.

The fit is still way too big all the way around. Also - are these made with less than the Hunter original materials? I mean I am sure materials have changed over the years but frankly I wore them twice and they scuffed up really easily and the color comes off really easy. :( I will keep trying.

So, I seem to be the only person who had this issue, but the shaft circumference on these was way too narrow for me. The description says the circumference is 15.5". I have 14-14.5" calves, and these were so snug on me, they pushed my jeans up so they bunched up around the knees. I'm also definitely on the shorter side (5'1" and some change), so maybe that worsened the problem (the boots came up just an inch or so shy of my knees). Unfortunately had to return. Other than that, the quality and style were great, and the sizing felt true to size.

I love the look of these boots, but they didn't hold up for a full rainy Spring season before the rubberized material cracked and my feet got wet.

Appeared used and not glossy at all but smudged and greasy looking. Not worth the money and look very bulky not stylish and not elegant. Returned immediately.

The shoe size was correct, but the calf size is very tight. The circumference of my calves is exactly the circumference of the boot, so I would have had to squeeze jeans into these boots. Plus, with my high arches, it was very difficult to get these boots on and off. Disappointing. I ordered the shorter boots and hope that they will work for me.

I loved the look of these boots. I'm a pink girl and the glossy finish made them even more fun. However, I'm 5'2" tall and the top of these boots hit across the middle of my kneecap making it quite uncomfortable to walk in - the rubber made a red line on my knee only with a few strides in the house. I've debated and debated on whether or not to keep them and only wear with jeans tucked in, but in our climate it rains often in the summer when I'd want to wear them with shorts. However, I was in a store this week that sold Hunter boots and I thought even their tall ones didn't look as tall as these, so I measured them albeit in a matte finish. The ones in the store were 16" from the floor to top of boot. The pink, glossy ones I ordered are 17 1/4". Big difference on a shorter person like me. I looked through the product info on Zappos websites (they do provide so much helpful information!) at various styles. What I found is that the tall Hunter boots' shafts measure 16", but the heel height differs on different style boots. I think that could be the issue. I'm sadly going to return these, but I may order a different pair with the lowest heel height available. Unfortunately the colors in the low heels just aren't my favorites.
