When my wife said she wanted a pair of Mary Jane shoes I had no idea what they were. Armed with only her shoe size and that brand name I hit the jackpot and they arrived before I told her they were coming. She loves them- exactly what she wanted and they fit perfectly. The price was not too budget hostile (actually better than I had feared). Its not often I can make my wife happy and Zappos made it easy this time.

shoe size 7.5 feet flat, bunions, sesamoiditis, plantar fasciitis (always trying shoes for my many ailments) pretty shoe, but the way the front of the shoe is cut at an angle was very uncomfortable. there was no way I could get away with walking 10+ hours. aside from the front, the rest of the shoe was very comfortable including my arch, heel, and ankle. the wooden heel startled me a little as I was walking around on wood floors. the front of it is rubber though and I was able to catch myself.

I have plantar fasciitis, slight hammer toe on my second toe, high instep, high arch feet that are wide in the front, and narrow in the back. I ordered these in 8 M since no 8W was available. The shoes are made in China. They were nicely made and the leather seemed to be good quality. To me the most important thing in a shoe is the footbed and the toe box. I am always looking for anatomic style footbeds in my shoe with great arch support. These shoes have a removable footbed, and I think you could put your own orthotic in if you wish. The footbed had thick, fairly dense, and good, almost excellent, arch support. The arch support actually travels up the side of the shoe, so it can hug and support your arch. The footbed was well cushioned underneath the arch and the heel, but not so much in the toe, unfortunately. They actually fit well in the heel and the arch was wide enough. However the toe-box was a deal breaker for me. Since the shoes have a heel, most of my weight is on the ball of my foot. I wish there had been more cushioning in the toe box. The toe box was high enough, but unfortunately, the curve of the toe box just did not match my feet. My toes felt like they were up against the side of the shoe, and my big toe felt like it was trying to burrow its way out of the side of the shoe. So, these shoes did not work for me, but could be very nice shoes for someone with slightly fewer problems than me!

These heels are actually pretty comfy even without my orthotics! (Has removable footbed.) I have a Morton's neuroma in my left foot, which makes putting pressure on my forefoot very painful. I have to pad to wear any kind of heel anymore. I walked around the house in these for an hour and was very pleased to find that I could wear them for an evening provided I don't have to be on my feet all night long! Only wish they were a little less clunky. Ok for long dressy pants, but with a dress the heel is too chunky. Please come up with a more delicate style for dressier clothes, TAOS!

Fit, styling, and workmanship of these shoes is excellent. The heel edge needs some padding, rubbed & irritated back of ankle. Sad to return them, but I don't want to put up with blisters to dress up :(

Looked like a wide shoe before I slipped it on. However, once on, it looked perfect! It's the kind of shoe I can walk and stand comfortably in without hesitation or discomfort. Great grip on the floor and the strap held the shoe to my foot. I wore these with a dark gray suit to testify in court.

These are really nice shoes that are well made, comfortable and stylish. I ordered this shoe in my normal 8M size (same size I wear in Clarks, Spring Step, and multiple other brands) and though the length was good, I find that they were slightly too wide (the sides felt loose, maybe wearing thin socks would help but I do not normally wear socks with Mary Janes), so I returned them.

The cutest shoes ever, I so wanted these to fit and even tried to stuff my wide foot in, but too tight! Super bummer! These shoes are very stylish and look very expensive though they are average for a moderate end shoe. The heel cut out is so unique as is the small notch at the ver top of the vamp.

Love the style of these shoes, but they fit fit like a wide. The heel was especially wide.

These shoes are excellent and well worth the price. They are adorable, flattering, classy, and professional, while also being comfortable for wide feet, and comfortable to walk in for an entire workday. They have been one of my favorite shoe purchases to date.

Fantastic looking shoe, too bad there is not enough room in the toe and the edge of the heel cut into my ankle. Based on reviews I had even ordered a full size larger. Style is very wide.

I'm not sure if I'll keep these shoes - they are attractive and would look good with just about any color clothing. I have bunions and a narrow heel. The heel cup feels a little loose and the toe area is roomy. When I add arch support inserts made for women's dress shoes, and I cinch down the velcro strap, they fit much better. I would prefer the heel to be about 1/2 inch shorter...

These are lovely, well crafted shoes, but on the wide side and I have a narrow foot. The arch, footbed area, seems wide also.

Well-made like all Taos shoes. I wear a 10 and ordered a 41. It felt slightly short with my big toe hitting the end of the shoe. The strap attaches with velcro and with my high instep I had to place it at the edge of the velcro strip. It did not seem secure and I did not like the way the velcro showed. For these reasons I returned, but if the fit had been better I would have kept this cute and comfortable shoe.

These were very attractive and well cushioned, but cut into my forefoot. My feet are a bit wide, so I am not surprised, but would be best for a normal width foot.

I love the look and feel of these mary janes and would have given them 5 stars overall if not for one incredibly annoying problem, they squeak. Every step causes a loud squeak, it drives me completely crazy and unfortunately it's the second pair of Taos I've purchased that have this issue, the Stunner and Studio.

I wanted to love these shoes ... I really did! They're cute, well made and have a great heel height. But the moment I put them on, I knew they weren't going to work. I normally wear a 10M -- these scrunched my toes so much that they felt like a 9N. I needed a pair for a dress I was wearing that weekend, so I stopped by Kohl's and happened to find a similar pair of Clark's. Not as nice, but they fit perfectly. Oh well ...

Beautiful shoe in beautiful, versatile color, but just too wide!

Lovely, comfortable shoe, but the Velcro strap kept popping off the right shoe.

Very uncomfortable! It is not a soft material shoe that will stretch. I used them couple of times all day for work and they never got better. I will have to give them away. Waste of money!
