These were doomed from the start with me. I have been wanting to try these out for some time. I caught them on a great sale, they shipped quickly, and I received them in a couple of days. I excitedly rushed home knowing they had arrived. I opened the box marveling at the look of the boot, the red sole, and the extra laces. I pulled out the right boot, unlaced it, then I looked inside and saw a white sticker with a diagram on it stuck to the insole. When I tried to peel it, it tore into strips like a very cheap sticker on a toy. It was embedded to the material of the insole. It would have taken some kind of chemical to remove the sticker. I shouldnt have tried the boots on after that because I was going to be very judgmental, but I did. I put on some of my favorite merino wool hiking socks and tried them out around the house. I went up and down the stairs making sure to let my feet hang off the edge of the steps. I thought they were just OK. I didnt think that the foot grip was as good as I had read about. The feel of the boot was loose, specifically in the toe box area. I would have like to have taken them out and tried them on a trail but I didnt want to take a chance of not being able to return them. I may lace up another pair some day in a store to see if it was just a bad experience.

This boot is comfortable as an all day, on concrete - work footwear. It's a very flexible shoe and break in time was minimal. This is my 3rd pair. Easy clean up with a damp cloth.

Great fit, comfortable. These boots are what I was looking for. Looking forward to many miles of hiking.

This my second pair of Mountain 600 boots. I still wear my old pair; however, I wanted a second pair because I like them so much. Also, my boots get very wet here in Vermont, and I almost constantly have a pair on my boot drier, so I wanted a backup pair so I always have a dry pair to put on. These are excellent boots, and I would recommend them to anyone who does a lot of hiking.

They surpassed expectations. Went on a 8 mile quick hike this morning through water, mud and heat. No sore spots, no dampness. I did take them off for the water that was knee deep. Very easy on and off. Most comfortable boots I've had right out of the box

Love them so far Only worn twice but for 12+ hour days and felt great

As expected! A little snug in the toe box, but I think they will conform with wear.

Good shoe .Yes they were true to,size I called a representative and she verified that. One of the few that are like that

I love these hikers. They (the original, not the recraftables) are comfortable from the first step. Danner unfortunately gave the recraftables the same name. The recraftables are not the same boot. Ill not comment further on those, but I am delighted to be back in the 600s.

Have not had a chance to make any long hikes..But so far there great.. very light feel, super comfortable
