It's about a shoes perceived value vs the price charged. So if a shoe is reasonable in price and no glaring defects, it still rates an excellent review because you can't get something for nothing (cheap) that is worth anything! With that in mind, I have to rate the Florsheim Mid town boots excellent after nearly one year of daily wear. But, when doing yard work or work on the car, yard shoes go on my feet. I was so impressed with my first pair, I bought black and cognac as well. I have worn the brown boots every day since March of 2024. They do need to be polished on a regular basis to look nice and maintain an even brown color, on the toes and where the leather flexes because of walking mostly. The black and cognac are for stepping out. The only negative so far, I don't think these boots can be repaired because the heel and sole are all one piece.

The soft leather tops add to the elegance and all day comfort, whether walking, standing or driving. I have almost a dozen pairs of boots, some with elite brand names and price tags to match, but none compare to the comfort these boots provide. They are by far my favorite boots. I keep them stored in the original packaging, insert supports and box. I only wear them on occasion to preserve them.

It's super comfortable, stylish and gorgeous on my feet. Florsheim makes elegant shoes that are also durable and affordable. I'm excited to own this Midtown boot.
