exactly what I was looking for. a shoe that has class, but isn't over the top expensive or overly designed.

Florsheim, c'mon man, you're killing me with the sizing. I have been a Men's 15 D-EEEE (depending on the brand,) in casual and professional shoes for roughly twenty years. I had to go down to a 12 5E in order to find the proper sizing for these shoes (note: I ordered the 12 EEE due to availability and they fit tight, but after three returns, I don't want to go through the process anymore.) My last pair of Florsheim's held up for six years, with minor resoling and care, so I'm hopeful these are as durable. I think the change in the shape near the toe makes them look slightly less stylish, but they provide a great level of comfort for an everyday office shoe. The material looks to be a good quality as well.

I'm waiting for a smaller size to arrive for me, as the pair that I ordered were a full two sizes too large for me -- I'm consistently a 15 D in most other brands and am waiting on a 13 EEE, after an unsuccessful look at both the 15 and 14 D. My last pair of Florsheims has lasted for over 5 years and I'm hopeful that this new pair will be equally rewarding to own. I will say that they do look a bit boxier/less fashionable than my previous pair, but appear to be a good everyday shoe.

My husband is not the guy who will fill out reviews.... but he is the guy that almost exclusively uses reviews to make a purchase for just about everything. That being said, since I ALSO value reviews when making my purchase - His words were "They are pretty good." When I asked him why he knocked off a star, he said "They're not the best shoes I've ever owned, but they're pretty good." (And that it why he probably doesn't write reviews. He usually wears a 9 to a 9.5, and based on the reviews about this shoe running large, we ordered a 9 3E and a 8.5 3E. He does have a slightly wider food with a fairly substantial arch. He ended up keeping the 9 3E - and was VERY pleased when he tried it on. He has worn it for several LONG days at work and he is very happy with them. The shoes are very sharp looking on. The laces are waxy looking... which he made a comment about. It does seem a lot goes into the shoe design and construction and laces are kind of an after thought. He did say the 8.5 3E fit one foot well, but overall said it wasn't quite as comfortable as the 9. I think this is the first time that he has tried ordering wider shoe. He is really picky about his shoes...and not much of a shoe guy - so a 4 star rating from him is as good as a 5. Hope this helps.

Are these the most comfortable shoes I've owned? Far from it. They feel just like all other Florsheim dress shoes, in that I need to buy some insoles to add extra heel cushion, but they aren't terrible. Are they the best fitting shoes? Far from it. The fit great length and width. However, they are a little to loose at the top of the upper, where you tie them. It's just difficult for me to get them to feel tight but not *too* tight, and loose but not *too* loose... just like other Florsheim shoes I've owned. Are they the most stylish shoes? Of course not, but for workday office wear, they're just right. (The shoe strings are a little too long, and I think they make the shoe look a little worse but that's an easy fix.) It's a very utilitarian dress shoe, and that's good enough for me.

Very comfortable, but I returned this one for the capped toe version. Really comfortable and true to size, and the cognac color is nice, too. If you're really into a plain shoe, this is nice.

Shoes looked good but just slipped on the heal a bit.

A little early to give a review but I love the shoe and the fit and it’s hard finding 3E width shoes. Will report back later on how they hold up !! So far very happy. If only it would stop raining and I couldn’t wear them more ?
