I own several Propet hiking boots, but not Ridge Walkers, in 11.5 x 5E, so I ordered these Ridge Walkers in the exact same size as my other Propets. The Ridge Walkers are noticeably narrower and a good 1/2 size smaller than the other boots I have. I am returning this pair and exchanging them for size 12 x 5E in hopes this size will fit.

The size, width, and comfort of these boots were right on queue. I really enjoyed wearing the boots to work and around for the last couple of weeks. I have a very wide feet with a high arch and found the them very comfortable. There was one area where the boots simply failed to perform. I wore the boots fishing this weekend on the boat and the weather decided to come a down pour rain. It did not take long before my feet were soaking wet. So these boots are NOT waterproof and simply FAILED in that area. I also figured out that the boots also had a VERY bad smell to them. I could not figure out what the smell was until one day I picked them up and got a whiff of the smell. It almost smelt like mildew. Once they dry out I will see if they still smell.

I had to get a full size larger than my nominal size, which seems to be the case will most foreign made shoes nowadays. I'm wearing them, but my main complaints are that they are supposed to be waterproof and are not waterproof. The other is that you can feel the cleats on the soles, which gets uncomfortable for extended wear.

These are beautiful hiking boots! Unfortunately they are way too narrow. I purchased the 4E (extra wide) and still they feel extremely narrow inside. I have other Propet 4E shoes that fit nicely. There are about 1/4" narrower when measuring from the outside but they feel even narrower than that. I wish they would make all widths standard through their shoe line.

The fit is too tight and the size is too small. This size was based on a pair of shoes I purchased previously.

Although it was marked as 3E, the toe box was too narrow.

The width was not even 4E vs. advertised with of 5E. I didn't realized these shoes were made in China or I woudn't have purchased them. Their sizing on everything is messed up.

Seems like a well constructed, good-looking boot, but very narrow for 5E. Felt like 3E or less so I returned them.

Fit and size were good, I was hoping to pay more for a shoe to have better arch support. On the 4th day of putting them on the left tongue shoe lace control came off while tightening the laces. I still wore them however the tongue did not stay in place as well. Based on the 4 days of wearing them I would not recommend to anyone. I am returning these and purchasing something different.

Don't believe it's wide or extra wide! Propet, is it really 5E? Are you kidding? It's like a regular M.

I ordered a width of 5E. The show I received could barely be considered a wide width. There were no labels on the box or shoes showing the size and width. These shoes were so narrow I could barely put them on and they hurt my feet.

NOT 5E in the width! This was my second try with Propet. Same results and felt like a 2E. PLease Propet get this right and size them as you should be. I have now given up and will have to look for another brad that is a true 5E. I will say, great look and style and that's about all the positives I can say! Please Propet, get your sizing corect. Zappos is always awesome and no fault with them at all!

This shoe is, at best, an E width not a 5E as labeled. Size seemed to be 7, not 8 1/2.

Very narrow. No where near 5E XX.

I ordered these boots because I had purchased the same shoe three years ago and I liked them. The first time I put this new pair on and attempted to tighten the laces, the loop on the tongue broke loose. For me, this was an indication of poor quality workmanship, so I returned the boots.

The black colored item did not fit as noted. 5E was not 5E, more like a 3E or less. The brown colored item fit true to size.

comfortable but 2 eyelets broke off within 2 months and the loop in the tongue broke off also. Disappointed in the durabilty.

Review for XX - 5E. NOT A TRUE 5E WIDTH! I can't believe this is sold as a 5E, I usually take a 3E and I could barely get my feed into them. I've had Propet walking shoes before that were very wide and fit well, but these boots fit completely differently.

Narrow toe box. Returned

I ordered a size 10.5 in EEE (extra wide). Not only was the shoe more like a 9.5 but it also seemed like a medium width or narrower. It squeezed my whole foot from all sides, especially at the toes. The tag on the inside of the tongue looked very generic and said Made in China. The box it came in was also blank and generic. I wonder if these were genuine Propet shoes. Maybe they were mislabeled as the wrong size and they had been previously returned, I don't know. They were definitely not size 10.5 EEE.

The width was good, but the toe was narrow. Also there is a wrinkle in the shoe lining under the heel of both boots that the cushion was not going to absorb

5X is not very wide, boots with runs narrow..

TOO NARROW. I WEAR SIZE 11 4E. THE DESCRIPTION OF WIDTH SIZE IS VERY MISLEADING. WIDTH SIZE XX IS NOT A 5E NOR A 4E WIDTH.
