My son has narrow feet so we bought these particularly for that reason. They fit well and have been great when he walks the dog this winter. Nice traction and have been water-proof.

These are the best fitting and most comfortable boots I've ever purchased. After multiple foot surgeries leaving ample scar tissue I had given up hope. I have found the perfect boot.

I love my New Balance sneakers. I have one foot that is 10.5 EEEEE and New Balance is the only shoe I can find that is wide enough. My other foot is 11 D, though, so I have to buy the 11 EEEEE, so neither foot is really right. I wish there was just one shoe in the universe that I could buy in two sizes. I can't be the only one. Buying two pairs of shoes is out of the question, but I would pay extra to get one of each -- even if there was only one choice of style. Please?!

I normally wear size 12, but there was a ridge caused by a seam under the toe of the insole. I exchanged for a size 13 and it was longer enough that the seam is not under my toes The boot fits great now & was comfy right out of the box.

This is the story of finding out about "width" sizes here on zappos via these shoes. This pair was my second purchase of shoes from zappos.com. I had been directed to zappos by a fellow huge duck-footed giant. I had never bought a pair if shoes online (or out of a catalog for that matter) and was skeptical about buying shoes without trying them on. However, I had been buying shoes from stores my entire life and as an adult, had been squeezing my really wide feet into normal width (and sometimes "single wide" if I was lucky) shoes and boots. My feet always hurt. I developed back problems, along with back injuries that made the pain worse. I chalked it up to something I'd just have to deal with. Part of being a real man is grinning and bearing it, right? Wrong. Nobody deserves to suffer. I asked my 7 foot tall ogre friend where he bought his shoes when I noticed his clown feet sized sneakers didn't appear goofy looking at all. A trick I had been using was to just buy shoes that were a size or more too big, as my flippers would fill up shoes, and once they were broken in, they'd sort of spill over the sides of the shoe by stretching out the leather. Bigger size meant more leather to stretch. This is a horrible comprised to ones feet, but I was after big shoes- and I saw that my big friend had big shoes and he sent me here, where I discovered that there was more than one size of "WIDE!" Hallelujah!! I got my first pair, ordering the size by following the steps laid out to measure my feet properly, in order to get accurate size and width measurements. The first pair were still kind of snug, but wider than anything I'd ever had on my feet. I bought this pair and upped the width. What happened once these shoes were delivered has changed my life. Pain tires me out. Pain makes me irritable. I wore pain on my face all day, every day- and I was totally unaware of it. People would ask me, out of the blue, "Are you ok?" All the sudden, my feet stopped shooting electric, sharp jolts up my legs. My feet stopped throbbing. The widest point of my foot wasn't squeezed hard against the shoes, and no longer PURPLE when I took my socks off at the end of the day to groan and moan and complain. No more. I couldn't believe it, and I started telling friends and family, prophesizing my gospel of zappos. These shoes specifically, beyond the magic of coming in multiple width sizes, are great. I have always worn this style of hiking boot type shoe. This shoe is fine in the snow, as well as the sand. They don't look silly with socks and shorts, nor with jeans, or khaki pants at work. I'm not the kind of guy who has five pair of shoes for different times of day. I have one pair for funerals and weddings that I usually have to dust before putting them on, and one pair I wear every day for every occasion. I usually don't notice I need a new pair until my wife alerts me that I should have replaced a falling apart pair months ago. I expect shoes to last a couple years. I am writing this review two full years after I purchased them, and they are the same shape as they were on day one. Not a stitch has worn out. The supports haven't given out. I've worn them in snow, and gotten them covered in the slushy mixture of road salt a dozen times without ever getting wet feet. The tread remains intact. The laces have not frayed. This might be sorcery beyond my powers to understand.

OK. . .I have very wide feet and have found that Sketcher's shoes in 11W fit me well. So. . .when I saw that these boots were in wide 5E. . .I made my move. The quality of the shoe is superb for the price and qaulity vs. price it's a winner. However, in my case they weren't wide enough for me and I can't wear them.

I first started purchasing shoes from them perhaps as long ago as 10 years ago and Zappos is the joint. The first time I had an exchange I thought it would be a hassle but such was not the case and I've been with them ever since. Because of their practicality I like wearing hiking books and Zappos offers a wide assortment in one place at a fair price and excellent customer service to boot. Get it? To boot -as in hiking boots...

This 1st hiking boot that I’m able to wear all day without suffering the next day from lower back pain they run a little narrow to me I wear 10.6 4E I purchased the 5E fit was perfect No Breakin Period just all day comfort..

I'm a Man of a 6' and 280 LBS with a injury to my left foot that is a 4E. So finding outdoor shoes wide enough to compensate my size is very difficult. I got these shoes in Last Friday the Feb 8, 2019 and today as of Wed Feb 13 they are no broke in enough to wear. I do suggest one size wider and half size larger for a good fit. I also recommend getting a better insole replacement for more comfort. I just ordered another pair in a different color, but I am happy with these. NOTE: I do not write very many reviews, so this tells you something. Shipped as promised too !

I absolutely love this boot. I have gone through about five pairs now and won't wear anything else. I train mustang horses, and therefore, I work on my feet all day, and run a lot of the time. I have foot pain when I wear other shoes, but much less or even no foot pain when I wear these boots. I have wide feet and I have to get the 5E in this boot, which I have never had to do with other boots, so I recommend you purchase wider than you normally would. Very comfortable boots, just take them out of the box and put them on, no breaking in, they are comfortable from the first minute you put them on.

The reviews I read prior to purchasing warned of the 3E width being too narrow. I normally take a 3E and decided to order the 5E based on the reviews of others. The 5E width feels like a correct 3E. Boot is well made and comfortable.
