I love these boots. I have weird feet (high arches, wider width at toe box, but narrow heels) so finding shoes that fit really well is a challenge. They are comfortable, easy to walk in, have great arch support, and I wore them to stand and walk in for 12+ hours without any breaking in and had no problems. I've never had heeled boots that didn't make my feet ache at the end of the day. They also look great with a wide variety of clothing. Seriously considering buying them in other colors.

I have large (size 11 or sometimes 12) feet. I also have a wide toe box and usually order 11 wide shoes. I ordered these in size 11 wide and wear thinner (smart wool) socks with them and they fit great. I spent 4 days visiting NYC this past week and walked over 3 miles/day in these booties and they felt great. My feet were tired at the end of each day, but no pain, no blisters, no major problems. I only review products that I feel like I have actually tested well and these boots held up to the challenge!

First I want to thank Zappos for their excellent customer service as I searched for the perfect shoe. I have a very high arch and this shoe provides a nice cushion of support for my arches. The heel is rubber so it is very soft to walk on. The shoe is stylish and works well with both jeans and dresses. The leather is soft and flexible. I highly recommend this shoe for comfort and style!

This boot is so amazingly comfortable right out of the box that I had to write a review the very first day I've worn them. They have more padding in the footbed than most, a heel height that is an absolute pleasure to walk in, and a generous width. I am sometimes on the border between a M and a W, yet this boot felt snug on my instep but also comfortable at the same time. As I've worn them and walked in them a lot throughout the day, they have gotten even more comfortable. I am going to have to order another pair. They are not inexpensive, but I think they are worth every penny.I went through four pairs of similarly-styled boots before I found this one. I am so glad I tried one more time. And thank you, Zappos, for making it possible for me to try so many.

I'm on Day 2 of wearing these booties and they feel GREAT! I live/work in NYC which means I walk EVERYWHERE. I love fall weather but normally hate having to 'start wearing shoes' (after living in Fitflops all summer). Amazingly I did not have to "break in" these boots and I haven't experienced any pain wearing them!!! I have HORRIBLE feet - first off they're wide. I have bunions as well as tailor's bunions(!) making them extra wide (and sort of diamond shaped). I got these boots in 7.5 W and they fit perfectly - the sole is generous and the rounded toe helps but best of all the leather is SOFT so there is some 'give' at the widest part of my feet (my left foot is wider than the right). I also have a mild case of plantar fasciitis _AND_ flat arches so the arch support and rubber soles totally help. I know I can't wear super cute shoes anymore (see all my issues above) but at least with these booties I can look somewhat fashionable! (so many shoes made for "comfort" look like grandma-orthopedic shoes)

This is an updated review - I had originally bought these in 9B and they felt small. The exchange was the quickest and most painless exchange process ever! Thank you Zappos! I exchanged the 9B for 9 1/2B and couldn't be happier. They fit perfectly, just like a glove hugging my foot. They are stylish, comfortable, have excellent arch support, and are super soft. Another reviewer had mentioned the opening around the ankle felt too big, I don't find it that way - it has just enough room for my ankle to move around with it feeling like it's being suffocated. I would highly recommend these booties to anyone. Just beware that unless you have narrow feet on the smaller side of a 9B, you would be better off ordering the 9 1/2B.

These boots are both stylish & comfortable. High praise from someone who finds it very difficult to find both in my size (12).

These are fabulous! In buying shoes/boots, there are usually three critera to meet: looks, comfort/fit, and price. These boots exceeded expectations on all fronts. Insofar as looks, they appear more expensive that what they are and for a few reasons. 1)I love the gathered leather on top of the ankle and the leather quality is such that I'm confident it will stay where it's supposed to which isn't always the case, 2)the heel doesn't make that cheap plastic heel sound on tile or hardwood (because they're not plastic) and, 3)an unexpected surprise, and so cute, was to find zippers on BOTH SIDES of the boot. One works, the other is just for looks, but wow, they are adorable! (And adorable doesn't come easy with big feet.) Comfort? I could wear these for days. Like many, my feet slide forward in heels thus smashing my toes which is anything but comfortable but not a problem here. Fortunately, the toe box is tall and I'd ordered a "wide" which solved the toe smashing problem without being too loose on my relatively narrow heels. Finally, the cost issue. Assuming this is not the first pair of booties you've looked at, you know how expensive they can be. These are priced much lower than I would've expected given the quality and comfort and, frankly, I would've happily paid more knowing what I do now. Order a pair before they're gone!

Because I wear a 10 wide shoe, I buy ALL of my shoes through Zappos! I love the fact that I can choose something I like and get it within 2-3 days, This is a perfect slightly dressy boot to wear with pants.

One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. The D width is probably a bit narrow and fits more like a C width. It's hard to find shoes with a large enough toe box and narrow enough in the back so my food isn't sliding around. This shoe fits perfectly and had wonderful support. Bought last season in brown and black and picked up one more pair to have for the future.

This is a beautiful, stylistic comfortable bootie. I normally wear an 8 or 8.5 and the 8.5 in this shoe feels great. My toebox is always a problem and this bootie does not squeeze my toes. I look forward to wearing them with dresses, jeans, skirts...whatever!

These shoes are very comfortable. However, the toe box is a bit narrow and it took some time to stretch out. I like that there is no metal styling on the shoes so you can wear them with gold or silver jewelry.

I have plantar fasciitis and generally my wide feet are in pain. These shoes are the first in a long time that don't hurt at all throughout the day! They are heaven sent!!

Comfortable!!! Arches felt high (for my flat-ish feet) but after one day of wear I was grateful for the solid arch support! Great shoe, great comfort, and great style too!

I love these boots-nice style, comfortable, just what I wanted. I, too, have a foot that's wide across the toes, high arch, narrow heel. The first pair I got had too much arch support and made me feel like I was standing on a rock. I think the manufacturing might have been defective. I exchanged them for the same pair, and the ones I have now are much better. I bought these in brown and black, and I think I'll be wearing them almost every day.

I ordered a wide because the boot looked narrow and my foot feels more comfortable with a little room for a sock. The boot was still very snug even with a wide. Also felt about a half size small. Disappointed. sending them back.

WOW!!! I have a bunch of foot problems & can only wear Birkenstock or New Balance with Birkenstock insoles - but I can wear these! They are sooo cute & I am sooo excited to find a shoe that is adorable & doesn't cause pain to wear. I can wear these for a couple of hours no problem! LOVE THESE! Thanks Zappos!

Love these boots! Listen to the reviews and order up a half size. I can wear them with socks or tights, ordered 8.5 but normally wear size 8. They are narrow, so if you have wide feet, skip these. Super comfortable wearing all day.

Love these boots,style and comfort

I have a short, wide, foot that is very hard to fit comfortably. I will occasionally buy attractive foot wear knowing that I won't be able to to tolerate them for extended wear. I thought these cute little ankle boots would fall into that category, but I was totally wrong! They both look and feel good - even hustling down seemingly endless airport terminals! (They do, apparently, have metal shanks; can't be worn even through a TSA Pre-check point...)

Excellent Ankle Boot! Originally bought 8.5W in black as that was all that was available. I have a pair of Everwood mid-calf boots that fit my wide feet wonderfully in 8.5M. My bad! The 8.5W was too big. Reordered in Merlot - great color - in 8W and the fit is great! Thank you, Zappos!
