Really nice boot. Like a cross between a mountain hiking boot and a running shoe. I have a slightly narrow foot and the fit was fantastic using the sizing recommended on the website (note its slightly different than other European shoe size conversion). If you have a wide foot this might be a little tight. Super comfortable out of the box. Except for the sole, the camo color is actually even more muted than the photo and works well in a variety of settings. Haven't done any super long hikes yet but I expect these to be my go to boot for most days. Quality of construction seems first rate as with my other Zamberlan boots. If you are looking for a mid weight, understated light brown trekking boot that works well in wilderness and urban settings, I recommend this one.

Bought this boot for early season bowhunting as I am a massive fan of the 996 Vioz GTX by Zamberlan. Regarding sizing, this boot definitely runs 1/2 size longer than my other shoes in my closet. I found this to be true for all Zamberlan boots in their hunting and backpacking collections. I have turned a lot of people onto this brand and they all confirm the same: SIZE DOWN 1/2 SIZE in most cases because they run long. This isn't because they are sized incorrectly, but their US EU conversions are different than other brands. Their EU 42 is a US 8, while with other Italian brands the EU 42 is typically a US 9 or US 8.5. As such, heed my advice and think about sizing down 1/2 size. This is also the advice on the company's website. Regarding boot performance, it basically mirrors the 996 Vioz, but may be a touch more breathable. I use this boot for early season archery elk hunting in Colorado and can only say amazing things about them. #1 - my feet NEVER get wet, ever. #2 the fit is amazing (once in the correct size, see notes above). #3 they are very freaking cool.

Boots were as expected. I had tried on other zamberlan boots and then ordered these. Fit seems to be the same as the others. Size runs the same as my regular boots except I normally wear a wide and the regular fit me well so be aware of that. But I was able to discover this by trying on other zamberlan's. Extremely stiff sole. Haven't broken in the boots yet. Worn them around for an hour or two the past several evenings. With this type of boot I expect the sole to remain stiff. I wouldn't be concerned about going on a 3-4 hour hike with them at this point. Wouldn't try wearing them all day for hiking yet. Waiting for the upper to break in a little more. Pleased with my purchase.

Buy a pair of these! I use these for SWAT. These boots are extremely supportive. I can pack 3 layers of socks in these because I got them in wide so I can keep my feet warm.
