I am a big Birkenstock fan. One of my top five favorite consumer brands. It's great that Birkenstock is branching out to other footwear styles, but these are not really up to their very high legacy standards. Unremarkable craftsmanship. Irregular seams. Purchased for my spouse and she experienced a multi-band-aid blister immediately. Comfortable and roomy footed, as you would expect, as long as they don't strike you in the wrong spots. Not really Birks. The thick and supple leather that Birkenstock uses in their sandals and other traditional shoes is not found on very many consumer brands anymore. The leather used on these boots is thin and unremarkable. The construction is not much different than any non-premium brand. Note also, not made in Germany. I am being somewhat extra critical here because Birkenstock has set the standard so high. Time to "re-boot" this brand extension.

Very cute but runs a bit more narrow than other Birks. Would be great for someone with average width or slightly narrow who would generally wear the Birkenstock narrow.

I have a narrow heels and wide toes and thus have trouble finding shoes that fit. This boot is not as wide as you would expect from a Birkenstock. However, to my delight, I was able to take our the cork insole and put in my orthotics and had a great fit. They are not my dream look. The way the part with the decorative snap does not snap back and kind of wings out makes them cuter than I like but for the great fit with my orthotics, they are keepers.

Cute boots, great fit but very dark brown--almost black and I have the black boots already. I'll return them because of that but otherwise great fit, etc.

I have worn Birkenstocks for years; i.e., several sandals and clogs and one pair of oxfords. This will be the first pair of boots. I usually buy a narrow width because the regular is always too wide for my skinny feet. I ordered the Collins after reading reviews reporting that the boot was too narrow. I think the Collins does run more "narrow" than "regular", but I still have to wear my thick wool socks with them. I've been wearing them around the house on carpet to see if they will work for me. They don't feel quite the same as traditional Birks, but they are very comfortable. The leather is softer than traditional, and the soles are thinner/more flexible. I was glad that the strap/buckle is adjustable. The boot fits better tightened up by one hole in the strap. The boot is made in Portugal, and the removable footbed is made in Germany. There is no toe-bar on the footbed, but the arch support is still standard Birkenstock.

Love these boots. I was looking for something that wasn't knee high and these are a comfortable compromise. I wear the with leggings or skinny pants, at work or on the weekends. They can be dressed up a little or be casual.

I bought these for my wife and she loved them. She normally wears size 8.5 and I got her the 38 (8-8.5). She says they fit perfectly. She loves how they look and feel. The leather top is very nice, of course not as thick/stiff as their sandal leather as that would be too restrictive over your ankle. However I am annoyed at Zappos because I've just logged on to write this review only a week later and I see the price has dropped substantially. Hate when that happens, and I won't buy from Zappos again.

I bought these boots for a trip to New York and love them! They are super comfortable and look cute with so many outfits. Also, I have sensitive feet and require a lot of arch support so I actually use Birkenstock inserts in these for added comfort. I normally wear size 35 so size 36 in regular is a bit roomy, but nothing thick socks can't fix. Definitely recommend these!

Pricey but SO worth it to have great support for your feet. They are solid and comfy. I am loving these boots...wish they made another pair a little taller too!

I love these boots, I've tried other Birkenstock boots and I haven't had any luck. These fit well, and they were comfortable. They look cute with a dress or leggings.

The foot bed is by far the most comfortable shoe I have tried in a long time. However, my foot was rubbing on top. I have a high arch/instep and this shoe was just too tight across the top of my foot. I had to return it. Loved it, wished it had just another 1/4 inch of leather on top.

I am in love with these boots! They are so comfortable. I have been having foot and knee issues and I walk everywhere. These are as great as my Birkenstock sandals!

I love these boots. They are just as comfy as the sandals. I was surprised to find no breaking time.

I love Birkenstocks (just discovered the narrow footbed a few years ago and have been a convert ever since!) I love the way this boot feels - great on the width (I have a bit of a narrow foot and this one did not make me feel like I was swimming) - nice leather. However - reason I am having to return? The sole! The fellow who wrote in about the skimpy sole is so right! Just wearing them on carpet was great!! As soon as I walked on our tile - or stood at the computer in my kitchen ---- the sole was so thin that I could feel the grout lines. (seriously) So, if you have a narrow foot and love the flexibility of the sole - but don't expect the substance found in the Mayari or the narrow Bostons. Still searching for that Birk boot!!!

Cute and nice Birk footbed but so wide my feet were slipping all around even with a heavy sock. Had same problem with Stowe. Need to come in a narrow because everyone knows Birk mediums are like wide in any other shoe. Narrow is like a medium. If your feet are medium to narrow, forget these. I can't believe some reviewers said they were too narrow.

The shaft of this boot is very wide and there is a contour in the insole that was very uncomfortable against the outside edge of my foot as I walked in the boots.

Loved the boot when I opened the box. Leather was very nice. I have a high instep. Got the boot on but could not get the zipper past that part. Sadly I needed to return.

I really wanted to like these since I live in my Birkenstock sandals all summer long. I have been hoping for Birkenstock to finally make a stylish boot, and was really excited when I saw these. Unfortunately they are rather clunky and too combat/motorcycle boot style for me. They looked really big on my feet. The arch support is good, but they definitely feel different than the Birkenstock sandals I have. I was disappointed in these, they are going back. Thank you, Zappos, for your gracious return policy!

I've been wearing Birkenstocks (sandals and clogs) for over 20 years and I have loved them all. I have many back and foot issues and Birks are the only shoes I've found that have the arch support I need. I was thrilled when I found these boots - they are very stylish and would perfect to wear with dresses for work! I noticed that a few reviewers had said that they were narrower than normal Birks, but I decided to try them anyway. I really wish I had listened - these boots were so narrow, I could barely put my foot in them, let alone zip them up. The footbed itself also felt too small, even though I ordered the same size I've been wearing for years. If you normally wear the narrow sizes in Birks, go ahead and order these boots. If you have normal width feet, maybe try ordering a size up. If you have wide feet, I would unfortunately recommend passing on these boots.

These are beautiful boots, excellent quality leather and style, but they are narrow for my slightly wide foot. I will return them and keep the Birkenstock Stowe which are a wider "Regular" fit.
