I purchased these as work shoes AND a shoe which is stylish enough to wear out when not working. I gave myself a few days of wearing them around to break them in when I realized I wouldn't have to. Shocking as that is, they were immediately comfortable. I have the kind of feet which blister when you look at them wrong, so to find a shoe that I didn't need to break in and was made of leather is mind-blowing. They are comfortable, easy to put on/take off, seem to be reasonably water resistant, and look awesome. The red/brown color is deeper than my computer screen would indicate and just gorgeous. I already got a ton of compliments on them and that was after walking around in muck on a farm. This is one of my best purchases.

I usually wear a women's size 11 so based on the reviews/suggestions, I ordered my size and a second pair a half size smaller. As it turns out the 10.5, though plenty wide, were too small, and the 11 fit nicely with a little extra room for a thick sock if desired. They are very sturdy, well made, with good quality leather, and the color (deep burgundy) was excellent. I walked around my house, up and down the stairs, etc., in them for a while and the shoes were immediately comfortable. My only, not a complaint, but a slightly negative observation, is they are a little clunky looking (think original UGGs), as they are not really contoured for a women's foot as I had hoped. (But I love my UGGs originals, which are certainly not contoured, so....you get the idea.) At this point for my feet I'm really more interested in comfort than 'cute' so these definitely fit the bill. And they do kind of look cute, especially with slightly rolled up jeans. An extra pair of inserts was included...nice touch.

Love this color! Already have a pair in stout (leather lined) and love the fit so wanted another color. I like these boots because they have roomy toe box, snug fit around the ankle, sturdy sole, and I can remove all the factory insoles and put in my own podiatrist recommended arch support insole making them the perfect shoe for me. I pretty much only wear Blundstone boots right now. Perfect for work (business casual) and perfect for going out. I hope to add a black pair to my collection soon.

Been wearing these daily for 20 years. I get a new pair every 3-4 years. Extremely well made, comfortable and versatile.

I don't think I've ever left a shoe review before (and honestly I didn't even buy my Blundstones via Zappos, sorry!) but I'm here because I want to arm people with as much knowledge as possible before they dive into the Blundstones sizing rabbit hole and wonder what the hell is going on. I just spent the past two months (yes, two months) trying to figure out what size Blundstones I should wear, and I think (I hope) I finally figured it out! And... I am shocked. In "real life" I'm a true US 8.5 "women's." I originally kept hearing that Blundstones run big, so I decided to start out by ordering the 8. When I got them, I could barely pull them onto the feet, and trying to get them off was even harder. I wore them for about a day, trying to convince myself that they were comfortable, but with my orthotic insoles inside I just couldn't deny the fact that they were too small. My toes were even hitting the ends of the boots which I knew was a problem. So, I returned those and started back at square one. I measured my feet and tried to use the sizing charts online to figure out my size, but based on my measurements (which I took several times in several different ways), I'm apparently supposed to wear a size 7... WHAT?! If an 8 is too small, then how the hell am I supposed to fit into a 7? If anything, I thought maybe I should go for a 9 (I don't have wide feet, so I thought trying the half sizes would be pointless). Anyway, I gave up for a while and kept considering just ordering a 9 to see if they'd work, but I finally decided to go into my local REI to just try on a few pairs and figure this puzzle out before buying anything else online. The first time I went in, I just tried on the 9 (without my insoles) and they felt way too big, so I left thinking, "Maybe Blundstones just don't work with my feet?" But I couldn't shake the feeling that even if I didn't end up buying a pair, I just HAD to figure out why I couldn't seem to figure out this whole sizing system. So, I went back today and tried on a 7, an 8, an 8.5, a 9 and a 9.5. Which pair ended up fitting like a glove? The 9.5! I'm blown away. Never in my life have I worn a 9.5, and I've definitely never had a wear a shoe that's made specially for wider feet. TL;DR: I'm a true US 8.5 in women's, and I wear a 9.5 in Blundstones with insoles inside (despite having fairly narrow feet). For me, the 8s and 8.5s felt way too tight and too short, and even the 9 somehow felt shorter to me than the 9.5 even though supposedly they're the same length. Not sure how that adds up, but that's been my experience. When I put the 9.5 on with my insoles, they instantly fit like a glove. I think what I've gathered is... -Blundstones do NOT run big; they run small and they run NARROW (which is probably why they put so much effort into providing wider fits, but I feel like people with truly wide feet will probably have a tougher break-in period regardless of their size) -Blundstones SHOULD feel like a perfect fit when you first put them on. They're designed to not have a significant break-in period, so if they feel tight or uncomfortable right off the bat, they're probably just too small for you. -If you have insoles or ever think you'll need to wear insoles, DEFINITELY get a full size bigger than your true size. I typically wear a 7.5 shoe or boot size. I must admit my right foot is a little bigger than my left foot. I had to go up to a size 8 and they fit great and were comfortable right away. The 7.5 boot my toe hit against the top of my boot. I wore the size 8 out as soon as I received them and there is no breaking in time, they were comfortable the entire time. I would recommend this boot and I feel I will get a lot of wear out of them. I even wore them to church this past Sunday - yes- it is cold in winter where I live.

Love these boots!! I have a big, wide foot and a high instep, so I went a half size up for width per Blundstone’s website. They are definitely roomy enough in the toe box and don’t press uncomfortably on my instep, not sure if I could have sized down as I didn’t try but honestly they are so comfortable I don’t really care. They are surprisingly light but feel sturdy and I have walked a lot in them, even brand new, with no issues at all. The burgundy color is really beautiful and richer than it may appear. I just want to wear these every day, they are super comfortable and make me feel like a badass ;)

I love these shoes. I have feet which blister so extraordinarily easily that any shoe I have to "break-in" often breaks me in the process. These shoes were a DREAM. They are weatherproof enough to hold up to working in the barn and on farm-calls but also look great enough to wear in the city. They polish beautifully (I use Saphir french shoe polish in two different red tones) and I get so many compliments on them. They come with an additional thin insole if you want to wear them with thinner socks.

I wrote my original review the day I received the boots and wore them around the house. I must amend it to say that now that I have worn them for an exceedingly long work day, with a substantial amount of walking, I'm extremely pleased with the style as well as the comfort. My feet were well protected and still very comfortable by the end of the day. I will definitely be ordering a second pair in a different color, possibly the brown, so I can change up.

Fell in love with them at first sight! Unfortunately had to return them. I would like to feel a little bit more room in case I want to wear them with a thicker sock. I will have to go a 1/2 size up in my next purchase.

Quality boots. Very difficult for me to get on and off though so had to return.

I love the boots but just have two comments that may help others. In the past I have ordered a size nine and the boots have fit well. This boot in size nine feels a little roomier in the toe box than previous. Also The red of the redwood color is muted compared to the picture. I was expecting the color to be more vibrant, however it is still a great color.

I ordered these excited for the color - but when I opened the box I thought there must have been a mistake, since the boots inside were essentially brown with mild maroon lowlights, rather than the rich deep red of the photos. Returning because of the disappointing color - a color that may be practical for some, but for me was too boring.

Love Blundstone boots. I have them in brown and black and was hoping to add a little color. The style and comfort were just as expected. However, after just two wears, the boots looked like I had owned them for years (and not in a good, broken in way). The red hide scuffs incredibly easily. I had hoped to wear them to work but they quickly did not look the part. Had to send them back for the price.

I was looking for a pair of ankle boots to use when gardening and light hiking and, importantly, that would be easy to slip on and off. The quality of these is great. Very nice leather, very sturdy design, and the color is beautiful. I returned (sadly) because they're a pain in the butt to put on and take off. Like, genuinely a struggle I had to sit down, grab the tabs, pull hard and wiggle feet. I was also hoping the material would be softer/more flexible. I imagine with time it would get more worn in but for >$100 I wasn't willing to take the risk.

My 4th pair of Blundstones Classic (all purchased from Zappos). All are 9.5 - which is 1/2 size bigger than I normally wear. All fit great. I have lived in Blundstones throughout the pandemic; I wear them all over Manhattan in any kind of weather and they continue to look great. My feet always hurt in shoes/boots but not in the wide toe box of the Blundstones. This Redwood color is very nice. They look great with black leggings and with jeans. I hope that it will continue to look good even after I wear them all over the place.

I took a risk because the size was listed as W11, and I usually wear a 10. But on other size conversion charts, AU8 is listed as US W10, which was sold out. Now, I do have orthotics and Morton’s neuroma, so I need more space in the toe area. It is very hard for me to find nice boots that don’t hurt. These boots work for my feet. Which is great, because I was really wanting this lovely red color. I’m excited because they look amazing and according to other reviews, they are going to last years.

LOVE them. As always with this brand the quality is tops. This color is over the top wonderful :)

This is my second pair of Blundstones. I literally wore the first til "the tires came off"(which took many years). This pair is just as spectacular from first day. Also.. the color is amazing!!

This is my first pair of Blundstones. I've always admired them, but thought they'd be heavy or hard to put on. I caved because of the glorious color, a dark, not too brownish shade of red. And I'm glad I did! They are not heavy at all and they were comfortable out of the box. I have wide feet and usually wear Birkenstocks, but these boots are not too narrow. However, I had to size up by one full size (I wear 38 in Birkenstocks and 7.5 in US brands and wear a 5.5 in these, which, according to their sizing chart corresponds to an 8.5).

LOVE LOVE LOVE these boots. This is my second pair as my oldest daughter stole my first pair and moved away with them. Will probably need to buy another pair soon for the youngest who is eyeing these. Well made. Comfortable. The red is beautiful and easy to wear with anything. Seriously some of the best boots I own (and apparently I have a boot problem!)

Love these shoes!! I normally wear a size 8.5 and had to size up to a 9. They are so cute, comfy, and great in the rain.

The fit for the BL1440s was consistent with the sizing for my other Blundstones; an AU5 always works for me (equivalent of a US Women's 8). I've had several pairs of Blundstones over the years, and they're insanely comfortable and practical for literally everything: hiking, riding, walking dogs, digging holes, whatever, these are insanely versatile. Over the years, I've lost patience with shoes that are even a little uncomfortable, because seriously, why? Why would you do that to yourself? I used to love Dr. Martens for the edgier look, but the break-in period is pure suffering, and they're so heavy. These are light and effortless to wear, and they do go with just about everything. I waffled about getting the redwood color for AGES. I tried Dr. Martens in an oxblood shade years ago, and they made me think of clown shoes. This color is a very deep reddish brown, subtle enough that they could never be clown shoes, a true oxblood color. I absolutely love these shoes, so glad I finally ordered them!

These shoes/boots are awesome. Easy on and off, so comfortable, and not everyone has a pair. At first I didn’t think they were that attractive, after a few wears they really grow on you and I now love how they look. I bought another pair in a different color I liked them so much.
